  1. River 2 Sea S waver. Storm kicking stick.
  2. All day every day is swimbaits season in south Florida. Check out the River 2 Sea S-waver also for jointed baits. A good weedless option also is a Huddleston 68 weedless. The big girls gobble them up down here.
  3. All day every day is swimbaits season in south Florida.
  4. Here are two of them. Lol
  5. Watch slow mo video of line coming off a spinning reel and you'll see the "loops" or line coils coming off the spool and then hitting the larger diameter guide of the microwave before the smaller guide inside it.
  6. I know guys will shake their heads but Daiwa years ago made a rod where the line went through the blank and had zero guides on it except the tip. Cabelas also copied this rod and was called the innercast. Question is this... Does anyone know if these components are still able to be purchased and where I would find them? And do most blanks have a smooth inside tube or is there certain blanks that would need to be used for this application.
  7. Hugh Crumpler is the guide you want for Stick Marsh!!!! Didn't both you and your son catch your PB's with Hugh?
  8. Spawning tends to relate to amount of light hours per day as well. Not always temperature driven.
  9. You may want to check about Castaic also about quarantine. I believe they do it also. Lake Piru is in that area and does not have a quarantine. Lake Pyramid also I believe.
  10. February will continue to be a spawning season while depending when in March the spawn could mostly be over. The spawning season here can begin as early as November and last through early April. Heaviest spawning periods are in January and February.
  11. Megabass S-crank
  12. Most states allow fishing although the "seasons" they impose have to do with the ability to keep fish.
  13. Solid body topwater frogs. Rage toads, gambler cane toads etc... Try not to let your casts land in the water itself. Try to land on solid ground and then drag into the water and wait for the explosion.
  14. My understanding of DSG clearance is that ANY sale item ending in .97 is also an additional 25% off.
  15. I hardly spend more then $10 on one specific bait, however last spring I got a gift card for my birthday and while at Dicks I picked up a Live Target field mouse. The very first trip I noticed a lot of topwater activity and decided that was the time to catch my first topwater mouse fish. Tied it on and then looked around for my first target. After noticing a small rare stump in the canal I had been fishing I took my cast, landing 5-6 feet behind my target. My first thought was "perfect" placement. I start to work the mouse back to the boat and as it comes next to the stump I see a HUGE swirl and my bait is traveling sideways. I feel my rod load and set the hook. The very first few seconds I'm thinking I've just hooked into a "teener" and it's stripping line off my reel like nothing ever before. My partner then asks where the stump went that I had castes to and glanced over to notice the stump was now missing. After a couple minutes of chasing and struggling I see a dark shadow under the boat. Then I see the snout and open mouth of teeth with my mouse hooks firmly implanted deep inside of a 5 foot gator. Needless to say the stump was the nose of the gator and I had never noticed. $15 down the drain in ONE cast.....
  16. Are you allowed to fish throughout the whole park? If so pm me and I may be able to help.
  17. Tough fishing with the high water. Best time seems to be when water starts receding in the spring/early summer.
  18. I mentioned those two as they are closer to the original area he was looking to fish. Haven't been to either but have been doing well in the north section of Lox.
  19. PM me if your looking for LH casting reels. I have a few.
  20. You must mean how the FDA will approve drugs for minor skin conditions which side effects are cancer and lymphomas. It kills me how they can advertise these drugs let alone release them. The FDA is preying on the uneducated!!!
  21. Under normal conditions I use 30 lb braid or heavier on my current reels. My question is this. Due to the anti backlash features of the SV system would it be possible to use lighter line in the range of 10-14lb braid for the smaller diameter to throw lighter baits and not have to worry about the lighter braid digging into the spool and worrying about backlashes?
  22. Check out Holeylands or Holiday park instead. Loxahatchee has been fishing well also.
