Shimano SLX or Lews Speed Spool LFS
I had an SLX that was "geary" and I couldn't stand it either. For as much praise as the SLX had a few years back it was very disappointing.

Brand loyal with reels?
The TD Zillion is probably my favorite reel ever. Between those and the TDX and Z platforms, (and a Citica 200 E I can't bear to sell) I'm more than happy.

March fishing in Maine
I'm in NH, and as soon as the ice is out at the boat ramp I'm fishing. Some of my best days with a jerkbait came when the north end of the lake still had a thin layer of ice. My tackle box during ice out for largemouth is jerkbaits, rattle traps, and football jigs.

Plastisol dye
Probably Dead-On.

Plastisol dye
I use colorant from all of the major companies-Dead On, M-F, Do-It and Lurecraft just to name a few. Solid white should be pretty similar throughout the brands, but everyone's chartreuse will be a bit different.

Searching for a new fluoro leader line

shimano curado green reel
I'm mostly a Daiwa guy. I have at least 15 TD series reels, including a couple of beauties I bought off of Tom. That said I just can't bring myself to get rid of my old green Curado. It's only worth a tank of gas in my truck money wise, but it's easy to work on and reliable. It's all I can do not to recommend them where time a <$100 reel discussion breaks out.

Cologne
I like bay rum aftershave, or anything you'd find in a 1958 barbershop.

Deep cranking speed
I use reels in the 5s for deep cranks. I'm not sure of the inches per turn but I'm certain someone will mention that. I have a (small army of) Daiwa TD X reel with an oversized handle. My experience is that I can slow down with a faster reel-for a few casts. After that I have to focus to stay slow, and it isn't easy. It's almost like how a tailgater can only ride your bumper for so long before they have to back off. Just my experience, I'm sure others will disagree.

Are ceramic bearing in a reel an upgrade I wanna do?
Thanks for the master's degree level of information. I always look forward to your posts.

How much do y’all talk about fishing in your daily life
Pretty rarely with the exception of two or three guys who actually know what I'm talking about-and a few students (I'm a HS teacher) at school. It is really cool having conversations with random kids who don't even take my class.

Extra plastic baits
I sorted all of mine by color and melted them into things I will use. Of course now I have 10 pounds of ribbon tail worms, but I try to ignore such minor details.

Jig Warning Label...
Anyone that dumb would never be bothered to read a warning label.

Ultrasonic cleaners..
I use one quite a bit for reels and carburetors. I use hot water. It's a lot more efficient to put boiling water in there than to wait for the heating element in the ultrasonic to heat the water...and mine is also an Amazon special.

What do you drive?
My truck is an 07 Tundra single cab with an 8' bed. I carry rods in the bed, the rod lockers in my boat just can't hold a 7'6" rod. I daily drive a Jetta that gets 42 mpg, my commute is 45 minutes, so it saves me a ton of money.

College football playoff
Sure. I feel dirty pulling for Michigan.

College football playoff
Your post sounds like a Paul Finebaum call. Georgia has a great team, no doubt, but they didn't exactly look great against Kentucky or Missouri.

Landing nets
I have a conservation net for when I am using treble hooks. I've been hooked too many times over the years to reach for a bass that has 6 owner hook points thrashing around.

Congratulations to the Wolverines.

30 minutes ‘till game time!
Not me, I watch it all.

30 minutes ‘till game time!
The only thing 12poundbass and I will agree on today is that the Iron bowl is nowhere near as important as The Game.

What was you're best lure and set up this year?
I got into tying jigs rather than using rubber collars. I threw a lot of brown living rubber jigs and (especially in cold water) they outfished the silicone skirted jigs my partners used.
