Moving from Braid back toward Mono Baitcaster
Holy cow, haven't seen that line in ages! I'm still spooling up Silver Thread, which is also discontinued-although I tried Gamma copoly and I do like it.

I always hear people say that smallmouth will hit moving baits all the way down into the low 50s, but I have not found this to be the case at all
I've had a lot of success at ice out throwing a DD22.

6 cylinder tow vehicle
I've also read that the high nickel content in the cast iron made it last longer. How true that is I don't know, but I had a few 22R motors make 300K plus.

Copolymer for drop shot
I've been using 6lb Silver Thread Copoly drop shotting for nearly 20 years. I do braid to leader everywhere else, however. (I don't tie leader knots in the boat very well-and by the time I'm done the boat is 100 yards from where I started)

6 cylinder tow vehicle
I bought a new Ecoboost 3.6 v6 in 2013-with the max tow package which is mirrors, gears, and a tyranny cooler. It hauled my bass boat all over New England and my snowmobiles 8 hours round trip to Canada. It was better than any V8 truck I've owned, including the Tundra sitting in my driveway now.

What line for jigs and Texas rigs?
You have been given a lot of good options. You also mentioned not trying copoly yet- if you do I recommend Gamma. I use 12 and 14 online without a ton of weeds. If I'm fishing heavy weeds/lilypads I'm straight braid.

Black baits.
Black is a great color, it just doesn't get the internet and youtuber love that green pumpkin does.

for those who live in legal rec maryjane states
It doesn't go along with my style of fishing so no. Half of my back of the boat partners fire em up and I don't mind, I just prefer to be at my best when I'm fishing.

Stupidest thing you ever said to your wife or girlfriend that got you in trouble.
"No." Two letters that cost me half my stuff.
-
do you still consider yourself a rookie in fishing?
I'm 46, threw my first cast in 1980. I'm far from a rookie, I've been skunked more than some of you guys have been fishing!

Any interest in trapping?
Excellent Naked Gun reference @J Francho

Show off your Stuff
@PixInTheSix, wow! Love those TD-X reels- I also have a fleet of them, but few of mine are as clean as yours!

Broke 2 Original Floating Rapalas...Bad luck or did I do something wrong?
If you slap your baits against the water to get weeds off this can happen.
-
Who doesn’t use senkos?
It has been several years since I've used one. I don't enjoy fishing with them, and the last time I did I gut hooked a fish (weightless wacky rig) and he became dinner. Other people can do what they want, but I'm not a fan.

Co-polymer Lines
I haven't used it for top waters, mostly for squarebills and 3XD crankbaits. Wish I could help, sorry bud.
-
Co-polymer Lines
Gamma Copolymer is a quality line too.
-
Pickerel pointers
So true, I've lost so many discontinued baits to those slime rockets it's not even funny.
-
Mono
I've bought a couple of spools of Gamma, and am impressed.
-
Crankbait addiction
I've finally stopped buying Bandit 200s and Rapala Crankin Raps. I have a lifetime supply and then some. For me it's more that they are discontinued than anything and there's pickerel and pike where I fish, so losing baits happens.

A Little Piece of Nostalgia
God I loved that stuff, Red Man too. Very happy I quit however, it's a dirty habit.

College Football
I'm a Buckeye, very interested in seeing how Bama, UGA and Ohio State do with first year quarterbacks. It should be an interesting year nationally, but I can't pick a winner. WVU has a soft spot in my heart, my father's side is from just outside Morgantown and I love WV. I'll be pulling for them vs PSU for sure. I don't let anything interfere with my college football-including fishing. I watch from noon until I pass out watching the late game. I fish on Sundays.

A Little Piece of Nostalgia
The ones I used to be able to eat without gaining weight....seriously though, dark chocolate Kit Kats.

Crankbait ID
Looks quite a bit like a Rapala Crankin rap CRR-5. If that's what it is, sadly it's discontinued. They are some of my absolute favorites

Do you guys deep clean your Baitcasters' AR bearings?
Wear safety glasses please if you try this... I've had good luck blowing compressed air back into cans like that. A couple of quick blasts with an air gun may fix it.
