Latest bank find repaints
Very nice work!

do you own more rods or more reels, or same?
Reels, primarily because I buy any Team Daiwa X under 50 bucks I can get my paws on. My 15 year old nephew is infatuated with them too, so I'm slowly giving my cosmetic disasters to him. I'd have far fewer rods if it weren't such an expense to ship them.

I am so done with the Bait Monkey.
I was doing well until last week's flea market. New in package Silver Minnows...I had to buy them all! Oh, and every used Rebel and Bomber he had, plus a few Fat Raps and Normans.

Are you in the Four C Club (CCCC)? If so, prove it.
Very fortunate to be in the best shape of my life at 48 years old. I do still have the hearing loss and need reading glasses, but getting older is a privilege, at least that's how I'm looking at it.

Tube Molds Inquiry
@Goby keep me posted. I think I have all of the Angling AI tube molds. I have used the 4" double dippers and cut them down for a fatter finesse tube, so there's options.

Tube Molds Inquiry
You can either dip rods in soft plastic to make tubes or inject them using molds. Angling AI out of Michigan makes really nice tube molds-some that you have to cut the tails, some that inject the bait and the tails are already formed. I have the molds you need to cut, and cutting tubes is a pain-but when I started there were no precut tube molds available... What I like about the AI mold is that you can slightly recess the rod and get a hard head tube, which is great for Texas rigging. There's a ton more I could say, but this is a good start. If you have any questions, ask away.

Daiichi Seiko Knot Assist Tool 2.0
I have one and I admittedly struggle with it. I usually do the Yucatán knot since it's easier. Nice to see a thread that isn't full of folks crapping on the tool or the use of leaders.

Jig mold help
I like the Collins "flip" mold with a Gamakatsu 291 hook, or an Owner 5317. I've really never had an issue running Mustad 32786 either, but I like the other two better-although they are pricier.

injecting plastics - leftover plug in injector
I've gotten around this in two ways. First, I have 3 injectors-my first and then the dual injector that I bought later. Second, I leave the injector in my presto pot and it stays hot enough to not set up. If I'm doing small runs with a microwave this obviously isn't an option. Otherwise I just go slow and waste time pulling the plug out.

What is the longest you would keep unopened line (mono/fluro) before disposing?
I'm using Silver Thread bulk spools well over 10 years old-kept out of the dark and brought in for the winter.

Mayo's Hand Poured Baits
Not really. I pour my own finesse worms using a soft plastisol. It's basically a Kalin's Western Weenie, which used to be great (no idea if they're still like they were 25 years ago)

Mayo's Hand Poured Baits
They are injected. Not to take away from him or his business, but some of those are common molds. Great baits, but not poured.

Intestinal blockage
So happy for you!

Food while you fish?
I eat once a day, so all I bring is a cup of coffee and an electrolyte drink.

Matt Robertson stolen tackle
I lost almost all of my rods and reels in a fire 5 years back. Having the agent walk through the garage made getting a check so much easier. Take a video of all of your stuff just in case, insurance adjusters probably won't understand why you have 5 different crankbait rods!

What do you buy more often, new or used reels?
We have a similar taste in reels. I also only buy used.

His wardrobe deserved a musical for sure!

No more fishing license for me!
Congratulations gentlemen! I dropped almost 800 dollars in 2002 for a lifetime license at the ripe old age of 25. Glad I did, they are $45 this year and only going up.

Looking for Bone Colored Tubes
Just a few drops of Dead On's "grit" color added to white should do it.

Do you still have OG reels in your rotation?
I don't use any baitcasters that aren't OG... Too many TDX, TDS Diawas, OG Zillions, US Trails, Crazy Crankers, and several TDZs. Oh, and a couple Pixies and OG Fuegos. Sure I'm forgetting a few, I went on a shopping spree a couple years back that still hasn't ended. I also have a Citica 200E and a Curado Bantam Greenie that I never use.

Old-School Lures that Work Great.
Does anyone under 40 throw tubes? (I'm 47) and I never stopped.

Meat grinder....
Lol, he is an upstate NY guy so I'll keep my eyes peeled!

Meat grinder....
Interesting thread as I'm buying 1/4 cow next week. I have the Kitchen Aid attachment too, and a standalone grinder, since I buy chuck rolls and break them down at home. Luckily my fiance's dad is a retired butcher so I don't hack stuff up.

What lures do you intend to use more in 2025?
Bomber 6A, the original ones. I have a pile that I'm repainting and upgrading the hardware on, there's just something about them that works when the 3XD doesn't.

One ‘new to me’ plastic for next year- what are you recommending?
Flappin Hog is one of my favorites, especially on a screw lock football jig.
