  1. Full cork preferred, split grip is fine, foam no thanks.
  2. I've had incredible luck with the Keitech Crazy Flapper this year on a shaky football head jig this year. But as always chartreuse squarebills just kill it for me no matter the time, weather or water temp in the summer.
  3. I had two Bucoo Micros and was really excited when I first got them but they were just too stiff for my liking after a few trips out. Definitely a quality rod but just not my style. Since then I have gone with a Fenwick Silverhawk and a rod that I can't exactly mention but its a two digit number. Both have been excellent for their respective applications. I would absolutely consider the Fury, the new Mojo's and the two I mentioned above. When considering rods at this price point customer service is a huge factor. Make sure you do business with the right company.
  4. Frogs, Flippin, pitchin and punchin.
  5. the natural colored Scoundrel is my favorite worm.

The crazy flapper swims pretty well
  7. haha what a savage!
  8. I'm with you on that. Way too many pro's and amateurs alike on televised tournaments are doing this.
  9. Squarebills, jerkbaits and ned rigs. I assume we fish similar waters, I've had a lot of luck with hardbaits this year.
  10. Caught my first fish on a ned rig tonight. I was pretty impressed by the hook. Nervous I would bend it not using a light outfit.
  11. burn it in!
  12. Braid: Power Pro Mono: Trilene Transoptic FC: InvizX
  13. You'll be fine with anything 7 or 8:1. You might just have to turn the handle an extra quarter turn, no big deal.
  14. What could have possibly lead us to believe otherwise, FrogFreak?
  15. X-80 Trick Darter is their best jerkbait. Stay glued to eBay for some great deals. absolutely worth it.
  16. I just grabbed two BassPro XPS Silent Lipless Cranks for $6 and free shipping. I like lipless cranks but the heavy rattle is a little too much for the ponds and lakes I fish. It can be overwhelming. Often times I can hear them from 10 yards away.
  17. Try to fish as slow as your patience will allow. Be open to other techniques, but make sure your equipment is suited for them.
  18. We probably fish some of the same waters. I've had a lot of luck with chartreuse squarebills and bright jerkbaits this year.
  19. I use InvisX in 10 and 12# and really like it. However, with my treble'd lures and moving stuff I usually stick with mono. I like the stretch.
  20. So, the Nissan then?
  21. Also curious.. I'm surprised he mentioned it.
