  1. I found this Heddon Game Fisher and two Shannon Twin Spins today. I'm not a collector but they were too good to just pass up.
  2. Dunkirk Unbroken ( The book is much better though ) Beneath Hill 60 ( not released in the US. Australian film )
  3. Blue Glimmer Shad, double willow blades in the brand of your choice.
  4. My god-son came over last week and asked to see my crankbait set ups. He wanted to add an upper middle tier rod for this year. He played with the Dobyns 704CB, 704CBGlass, 764CBRM, 705CBGlass, 684CB and 705CB. His bait types and weights will be similar to what you throw. He ordered the Champion 705CB which was no surprise to me. That would be my recommendation for you as well.
  5. Any that won't get me a warning point.
  6. I went bottom fishing off the coast for sea bass and Ling cod several years ago. I bought some large EWG hooks and 1 ounce sinkers with huge worms. The guys in the boat thought I was crazy until I wacked the fish. I was using 25 pound mono and a heavy action bass casting outfit. I use spinning for my fresh water because I'm fishing light line and light weights with fine wire hooks.
  7. Get the best of both worlds and grab an SV 103.
  8. Disgusting isn't it. Don't let the pictures fool you. The dog is pure evil.
  9. There are no words. I'll be be praying for you.
  10. I know.....pitiful isn't it.
  11. I just looked in the mirror and came to the conclusion i'm uglier than I was a year ago.
  12. The answer is simple. Because it was a $500.00 rod that was 20% off. How could anyone pass up saving a hundred bucks ?????? That's enough to buy a pair of Plizzers.
  13. What I like about these vintage baits is how the thought process is evident but the design technology isn't. The hard bait is an attempt to be a wake bait like the Ima Rumba. The Worth's features a model on the back that is like a punch skirt and the other a sled head. The evolution of lures is amazing to me. I've two more to post later. Doug
  14. I was killing time in a a local used tackle shop in town and saw these. The plug, I can't fully identify but the Worths bait I distinctly remember from 1980 to 1982-ish. I remember Stan Fagerstrom featuring it in a sports column.
  15. French roast I have a sewage treatment plant pond close to my house. Should I try it for bass?
  16. They are in the 2017-2018 Catalog.
  17. It started to snow at noon Christmas Eve and we had an inch by 2100. The roads and walks are already meted off this morning. It was nice to take a late night walk and listen to the squeaks of foot steps in fresh snow. The grand kids were excited.
  18. My GS bought a Dobyns Colt on the black friday sale for his wife. Once it arrived and he set it up he said the heck with that. It's going in my arsenal. However, knowing his wife, it's hers and he can order another.
  19. I would put in a hedge fund. I'm going to plant a new hedge along the side of the house this spring.
  20. I'm a fan of Sunline Supernatural mono. It's never let me down and the cast ability is extremely good. It's on sale at TW right now, which is nice.
  21. I feel for you buddy. My mother is 86 and still pretty sharp but her age is showing it's impact rapidly now. I spent the last two days with her ( three hours away ) and she asked me to complete her Advanced Directive paperwork, which I did. Mom is very practical with a great sense of humor. She is finally agreeing to the concept of selling her home and moving close to us. I see this happening this up coming year. As far as retirement ? If you like what you do and can do it at the level you feel is acceptable, keep working. I retired at this past June. Walking away from my career after 25 years was not easy at all. I look back at my decision often and know in my heart, I made the right choice because I knew I could not perform at the standards I set for myself many years ago. I have to laugh at times when my son in law says he is going to be off on a certain day. I tell him, me too. I'll be thinking of you. Sharing the stress is good for you. Knowing others care is important.
  22. All LT's in the high speed ratio. John's baitcasters are all Zillion TW's.
