  1. I use a 7'3 mh/xf rod with either a 7 or 8 speed reel.
  2. My soft plastics rod is a Fenwick elite tech 7'3" mh/xf. It normally has a 1/4-3/8oz t-rig on it.
  3. I was wondering if using a 7'5" h/xf rod with braid would hurt the rod. I would use it for pitching, but didn't want to break a rod. Thanks!
  4. I would get a Fenwick HMG
  5. I would get the Daiwa Tatula CT
  6. For $400 I would go with the Fenwick World Class 7' to 7'4" mh/xf(i think its still on sale at TW for $200, but if not go aetos) and then either a shimano curado 200i or daiwa tatula ct type r.
  7. Try a fenwick HMG, IMO it is better then the *** rod and also comes with a lifetime warranty.
  8. I use a paca chunk year round, switch to a bbug in colder water. If they arent eating a paca chunk I switch to a kickin b
  9. If you can go up in price a little, the ascend fs12t is a good kayak and you can stand in it.
  10. Get the best of both worlds and buy a pontoon and a bass boat!
  11. American Legacy Fishing has Daiwa Tatula Type R's for $110, retail for around $200, also other products with a 10%-50% sale if I understand correctly from their website.
  12. I had an *** black and have a hmg. I like the hmg more than the ***, plus the hmg has a lifetime warranty.
  13. A texas rig, jig and spinnerbait can catch fish in all water and in virtually every situation, learn these 3 and you shoud be fine. Then learn other techniques.
  14. I use a 7' m/f baitcasting rod with a 6:8:1 lews speed spool lfs for my shakeyheads.
  15. Dropshot, shakeyhead and a jig.
  16. I will mostly be pitching and flipping to cover, not a lot of grass, I said the max would be 3/4oz, but majority would probably be a 1/2 oz jig or t-rig.
  17. about 5'10", max would probably be 3/4 oz, but an occasional 1oz.
  18. I am going to get a flipping/pitching rod and was wondering if you think the Fenwick HMG 7'6" mh/ef rod would suffice, or do you think the 7'5" elite tech h/ef would suit my needs better? Thanks!
  19. I know a lot of people think the yamamoto senko is the best, but I think the Netbait Salt Lick gives is as good if not better.
  20. Biggest thing I can stress is not to go out and buy a boatload of lures, get one or two of several types and make sure to get a jig and texas rig equipment. Then find some ponds and learn to fish those techniques, then if you get pretty good with those move on to others. For soft plastic colors don't go crazy just get a dark like black/blue or junebug and a natural like grn pumpkin/ watermelon.
  21. I use a fenwick aetos and hmg. The aetos was on sale for about $120, but im not sure if it still is.
  22. I am no expert, but that does not look right.
