The 50 plus club
I own more than fifty but I'm a multiple species angler. While bass is normally my primary target, I enjoy chasing everything else too. Also, I like trying new gear. To me, that's part of the enjoyment.

Pishifun Reels
I have contacted Piscifun through email before. Sometimes it takes a few days. I'm sure they'll correct the wrong reel.

Dobyns Sierra Cork Treatment ..Yes or No?
I clean and treat all of mine. Keeps the cork newer looking for longer. I think it also helps with resale value because the cork is not all pitted up.

23 metanium
Its not a new reel. Just different spool. I really didn't see a point in its release. I have the regular metanium and the shallow spool version. No need for another spool variation. Kind of lacking on Shimano's part, if you ask me.

Advantages of high end JDM reels?
Its a slippery slope for most of us. Once you go high end, you'll keep wanting high end. Is it worth the extra money for slightly more refinement? That's up to the person. I have cheap reels, mid range reels and high end ones. I enjoy using them all. But i enjoy playing and looking at the high end ones more.

Old Combo is Back
A friend of mine had two of the TD-X back in those days. He had them on the Team Daiwa green rods.

Shimano Curado MGL 150
What rod are you using? Thats pretty important too. I would probably use 10 lbs floro for 1/4 jerkbaits. Maybe even down to 8 lbs but you may get too much stretch with 8 lbs. Or a braid to floro leader for more responsive jerks.

13 Fishing Oman Panfish rod
Have two of the 6'9" ultralight models. They are okay, but not the best. I would say they are comparable to the daiwa presso in terms of action and sensitivity. I don't know how the light action feels but I wasn't too impressed with the ultralight rods I have. There are cheaper rods that feels better in my opinion.

Spinning reel handle screw in too far?
Glad it worked

Spinning reel handle screw in too far?
My Fuego looks the same. The Phillips head screw is suppose to be in there. Mine switches fine from right to left. The thread on your handle could be messed up. Try rotating it backwards alittle until it is level then go forward.

Expride 6'10" MH/F
I dont have that particular 6'10 med hvy, but if its like the old adrena line then it's pretty much a shorter version of the very popular 7'2" med hvy. I have the new expride in the 7'2 light, 6'10" med and 7'2" med hvy. I still have the old expride in the 7'2" model. I also have both old and current model poison adrena's. I think for bank fishing the 6'10" med hvy would be a good choice as an all around rod. If you want to throw lighter stuff go with the 6'10" med. I think the new model 6'10 med is stiff enough for lighter jigs and T-rigs as well as moving baits.

Is rod/reel aesthetics super important to you?
I believe the way a item looks play a big part in if we purchase it on not. Why do you think we have 20 colors of the same crankbait. That's why most soft plastic companies have a thousand different colors of the same worm. These things get our attention. We find them aesthetic pleasing. We like shiny glittery stuff. None of us would purchase a truck or boat if we didn't find it pleasing to the eye. We wouldn't date an ugly girl just because she had a good personality. We want our thing to look good and perform good. The same with my fishing gear. I pay good money for it so I want it to match and look good. It must also perform like a champ. This makes up for my shortcomings as a sucky fishermen.

Shimano Cardiff 200A...
I've not owned a Cardiff 200 but have owned several 100 size. I have owned several 200 size Calcuttas though. I would definitely upgrade the drag washers to carbon fiber ones. It'll make the drag stronger and smoother. I would also put a 95mm or longer handle on the reel. It'll give you more cranking power. Those are probably the best two upgrades for that reel.

Shimano Reels
My vote is also for the Bantam PG. Its a smooth casting, smooth retrieving reel. I still have two in my lineup. I prefer them over my Conquest 100 and Calcutta 100D reels.

Bass Fishing Memes ***PG ONLY***
My wife would agree. She says fishing is my first love, she's just my mistress.

2018 and 2022 Daiwa Exist spools
I have 18 Exist 2000s and 22 Exist 2000s. The spools are interchangeable as well as the drag knobs. Of course the handles are interchangeable as well. Also both reels use the same tool to open the gear cover plate.

New Tatula spinning reel
Wonder if Daiwa did away with the 1000 and 2000 sizes since they are not listed. Also the 3000 and 4000 sizes are not included. Maybe to be released at a later date?

Shimano 1.20.23??
There is a short clip of the new one on YT. I'm kinda excited.

Megabass P5 Baby Plugging
I have one I use for light drop shot and 1/8 oz jighead with small plastics. Fairly light and sensitive rod. I have it paired up with a Luvius airity 2500s and 6lbs fluro. It's a nice balanced combo. I haven't tried it with small hard baits but it has a deeper bend so I'm sure it would be great for small crankbaits like shad raps. If you can get use to the handle then you'll probably like the rod.

Spinning Reel - Shimano Ultegra, Diawa Tatula or ??
Any shimano or daiwa spinning reel would be good. They are all pretty good. Its just a matter of how much want to spend. The JDM tatula and the Vanford would match that particular rod.

Tackle trap alternative for daiwa handles
Just call Daiwa. I've placed several orders directly through Daiwa. Just have a part number ready.

Zodias 7ft L ,Posion Adrena 6'11 UL, Edge 711DSR Spinning Rods- Which one?
I have used the 7' Zodias light and the Poison adrena 6'10" ultralight. If you like the Zodias ML then you might like the Light. I didn't find it all that sensitive and don't like shimano's eva foam. The eva foam is personal thing. I didn't like it enough to keep the rod. The 6'10" poison adrena is a decent rod. It's got the tip of an ultralight rod with the backbone of a med light to med rod. It is fairly sensitive and lightweight. I actually have two of these rods. I use them for 1/32 to 1/8 jigheads with small soft plastics. As long as you are not throwing a T-rig soft plastic it should do fine. I agree the 7' med poison adrena was a big disappointment. Very tip heavy and a heavy rod overall. Shimano missed the mark on that rod. You could also try the Expride 7' light and 6'10 med light. I have both of these rods in A and B version. Both decent rods. I haven't tried the 7'2" med light yet but if it's like its siblings, its probably a pretty decent rod.

4lb Line Choice- P-Line CXX or Izorline CXX?
I like Pline CX and Sunline supernatural. I use them both in 4 lbs for trout and panfish. CX is thinner and more limber than CXX. Sunline supernatural is actually thinner than CX. Both are good lines. Trilene XL is also a decent line but alittle thicker. SOS trout magnet line is also good in 4 lbs but gets stiff and more difficult to manage in 6 lbs test.

whole mice or chunk mice for catfish?
Try to see. It wouldn't hurt to give it a try. Cut in half to let the blood and guts disperse into the water would probably be best. Just make sure they sink because the hairs may trap air and make the mouse want to float.
