Central Florida Spawn
They are starting up here in N.E Fla. Seeing little males setting up in traditional bedding areas and bottom getting fanned out. Caught a big female sat. In the same area.

Lets talk BBQ
Lol that's me !! My aunt in NC makes that vinegar sauce with her pulled pork. I like a little of her sauce but she puts a lot in it and I HATE vinegar. I love most sweet sauces. Here in Jax. My favorite bbq is Mojos' and 4 rivers. Sonnies is good too. I occasionally grill some chicken . I prefer charcoal to gas. That's about as far as I go with it.

Trolling motor power sources
I get about 2 years out of one and that's it. Tried different ones but the results are always the same.

Trolling motor power sources
Thanks for the responses. I'm pretty sure I won't be buying a lithium battery any time soon ( like ever ) at those costs. It seems like I go through batteries too often . Trying to find a solution. Something well priced that will last longer.

Favorite Westerns ?
I don't think the Good, the Bad , and the Ugly was mentioned yet. The dialogue is great but it had too many slow spots . Still, a great. Favorite line is when Tuco is trying to read the addressed note to "idiot " Clint grabs it , takes a look , and says " Idiot " Its for you." And the famous music starts...

Favorite Westerns ?
My favorite Josey wales quotes. • " buzzards gotta eat , same as worms " • " How's it with stains ? " • " well , Mr carpetbagger , we got something in these parts called the Missouri boat ride " • "You gonna pull them pistols or whistle Dixie ? " • " Dying ain't much of a living boy "

Trolling motor power sources
Well, my battery has had it. ( again ) I have a feeling there must be a better way to power my 40 lb thrust minnkota. I saw a video of someone that was using some kind of re chargeable power pack that he ran his t.m off of , instead of a battery , said he got it at wal mart .I want something that is lighter than a battery and lasts longer , like a battery charger does.Any suggestions ? I realize this may be common knowledge but I am stuck in the past.

Yeah , that happened several times. Just when I started liking a character they would get killed.

Favorite Westerns ?
Yeah, my 2 favorite of his are The Searchers ( best ending scene in any western ) and El Dorado , with Robert Mitchum.

Favorite Westerns ?
A lot of people like tombstone. It was definitely well made. Just not one of my favorites. Cant really tell you why. Now Lonesome dove on the other hand.... I liked hell on wheels at first , but it just kept getting darker and darker. I thought it was about him finding all those responsible for murdering his wife during the war- kind of similar to Josey Wales. It seemed to just leave that plot and it eventually just lost me. I can't think of any John Wayne movies I don't like. Yeah, unforgiven was a good one, as was pale rider.

Back yard hawg.
Yeah , we had planned to go out in the boat but kept catching fish so we stayed put. And yes , big mama is back in the lake . I was out back a little while ago and I think she's still around . Saw another big blow-up on a bream right where she was the other day. Also seeing bedding activity, 2 little bucks were hanging around close in about 10 feet apart. Seeing some lake bottom excavations too !

Also The Good , the bad and the ugly gets honorable mention. The great parts of it were great , but it was too slow in some places. Love it when Tuco tries to read who the letters addressed to. He's trying to say idiot, but can't. Clint says "Idiot. It's for you.?

Hang em high was another good one. I didnt really care for high plains drifter. To me it was kind of weird and dark. Liked pale rider too.

Favorite Westerns ?
Let's talk Westerns. What's your favorites? Movies or TV. My favorite movies. • The outlaw Josey Wales • The Searchers • Dances with Wolves • Lonesome Dove. There are many others I can't think of at the moment. Pretty much any Clint Eastwood or John Wayne pic. TV series • Gunsmoke • The Rifleman • Bonanza • F- troop ? • I don't count Most civil war movies as westerns , but The Blue and the Gray , and Shenandoah are 2 of my favorites. This will get things rolling. If you're over 40 , it will be probably be easier. I dont like too many of the newer ones. Open Range was good , but it's not really new , just newer.

Well, all the ponds off racetrack are near julington or Durbin creek. This one was behind the shopping center by wendies. There's a tire store there. Wouldn't waste my time going there again.I haven't fished them much lately, but I used to do well in some of the julington creek plantation ponds. I fished Julington creek itself a lot for that matter , but not lately.

Swift Creek ( Dowling ) pond
Thinking about fishing it soon. Has anyone tried it ? Somehow in my rambles I never fished this one , just passed by it a few times. It's got several things I like : Less than 1 hour from home. Fairly small size . Cypress tree ringed , with lots of maidencane grass , no development . And it's a fairly remote lake. Info on it is nearly non existent.
