Frog fishing
That 7.3 I caught with the booyah pc jr. just sipped in the frog. I had thrown it between a dock and patch of grass. I heard a splash behind me, turned to look, and when I looked back , the frog was gone. No splash. There was the slightest ripple coming from where the frog had been. When I set the hook , the fish swam conveniently right by the boat just under the water. She had her mouth open and I grabbed her lip as she went by!

Heat exhaustion
I worked on a farm for 6 years. I don’t remember even taking a water jug. We drank sulphur water from a shallow well out of a spicket. I once dug a 3-4 foot deep drainage ditch 300 feet in less than 8 hours with a mattock. Went fishing on the way home too. Woke up ready for work with no pain or tiredness the next day… I wouldn’t last 10 feet now !

Heat exhaustion
I’ve worked/ played outside all my life in Florida. I’ve had “ the bear “ on me a couple times. Before I was 30 I never hydrated on purpose- just drank some water when I got thirsty enough… Back then , the heat didn’t bother me at all. Now , at 62, I get dehydrated very quickly, so I drink a lot of water. Someone posted that wearing a long sleeve shirt and long pants help cool you off. It may work for you , but ANY kind of Long sleeved shirt makes me hot.

Good game LSU. It is truly a game of inches. If that ball hit to left had been 2-3 inches higher in the 8th, Florida wins…- Latest Catch Pics Thread
No, it was at the home lake this time, which is a much better fishery than the church lake. The church lake ( I also call it graveyard lake because our graveyard backs up to it) is ok, but I never catch more than 2-3 fish per outing there, mostly 12-15 inchers. This year has been the best for size in the 25+ years I’ve fished it, got 2 fish over 20 inches out of it. Whatever that was today might have been a DD.- Latest Catch Pics Thread

Same here. But they love that Z hog. Get a lot of bites on it. Can’t find it in the store so I need to order some…- Latest Catch Pics Thread
Was at the church pond at daybreak. Hooked this little guy on a super fluke. The hookset pulled him out of the water. I knew it was small. Suddenly , the rod loaded up and to my suprise, I was fighting something much bigger. I loosened the drag slightly as it went by. It pulled out several feet of drag and came off… still had jr. hooked though…Whatever it was , It fought like a bass but it never jumped. It was BIG, real BIG…- Burger On The Grill

A very good frog imitation bait is the zoom Z hog. I have done better with it than any other frog - looking bait. It’s soft too, so hookups are more reliable. It could be classified on the creature bait side too I reckon.- Frog fishing
How deep do y’all go on the topwater frogs? I don’t get bit if it’s over 4 feet deep…- Frog fishing
I’ve used both before @Catt . Done best on the H. T , but lose a lot of fish with that bait. Can’t find a hook I like with it.I’ve tried hooks that were recommended and still didn’t like them.- Frog fishing
I have a couple days off around the 4th of July . Planning to be out before daylight and fish frogs for awhile. My lake is slow for frog fishing, but you would think I’d do better than I do. I did get a 7.3 on 4th of July a few years ago on a Booyah pc jr. The water is shallow , clear , and full of eel grass, with algae that collects near the bank in many places this time of year. If it was you , how and what specifically would you frog fish with?- 2023 CWS
Gators wins so far : 6-5, 5-4 , and 3-2. Hoping the next game doesn’t follow that trend for Gator offense , unless of course the defense/pitching follows it…- 21 June is Summer solstice
I did what I usually do, work. Spent some quiet time at a park before going home. After night church , I come home to find that we are having AC problems with the thermostat not turning off the system, It felt like the north pole inside when I got up this morning. It could be the other way around so…thankful for that…- 2023 CWS

- Fishing a big ribbon tail worm
This^^^ If I used a 1/4 oz sinker where I fish mostly , it would get stuck in the weeds . I know it’s not popular, but I use a small split shot when I worm fish. If the water’s deeper and clearer of weeds, I’ll go to a 1/4 oz. bullet weight unpegged… I really like mister twister or 10 inch culprits for ribbon tail worms. For some reason, I don’t do quite as well with ol’ monsters, although they are in my arsenal…- Latest Catch Pics Thread
- Other species while bass fishing.
I very rarely catch anything else while bass fishing. Warmouth would be the most caught, then bream. Caught just a few pickerel, cats, and mudfish too. This is considering I’ve bass fished for nearly 50 years now… The trotline I hooked with a crankbait fought the best…?- Things that irritate ya'
Driving really aggravates me, ( I’d love it if it wasn’t for the other drivers…) I could easily tell you a hundred stories but I won’t . Potential customers that tell me I’ve got their business, then change their minds. Planning to do something, then something gets in the way, and I must break the plans. Family members using ( or stealing) my stuff and not returning it. I know it doesn’t sound like it , but I’m generally content most of the time…? By the way, I’m fixing to start doing my oil changes again too. 60-80 dollars is way too much for me to waste anymore. My work vehicle oil change just cost 85.00 !! I’ll let you know how that turns out… - 2023 CWS
