Praying for a speedy and strong recovery. Ive had several pains in knees , hip, back , and foot lately. They last a few days and get better. Hopefully that’ll be the case with your knee.

Mid nineties here today. Supposed to be 98 on saturday.

I mostly listen to bluegrass nowdays. Ive never heard of Tom Waits. I listened to one of his songs and it did give off an unusual vibe .It seems familiar but I can’t place it. Will listen to more of his songs.

Customers back yard today. I was telling her about fishing in the river. She said” Oh, we don’t fish” I thought “ You live on the st Johns river but you dont fish? ??‍♂️ To each his/her own , I reckon.

I do best on Soft plastics 1. Toss up between senkos/flukes 2.Speed worms 3. Trick worms I use several others successfully also , mostly creature baits. Worst: 1. Jigs 2. Crankbaits 3. Big swimbaits

I drink I cup of coffee every morning after drinking a glass of water. That’s the morning ritual 5 days a week. The exception to this is if we have a work meeting. I will have another cup of coffee ( black , of course ), in that case. Even on all night security detail friday night, I only drink 2 cups of coffee. I’ll drink 2-3 on sunday at church. (Coffee is everywhere.) ? I drink lots of water otherwise, and the occasional sweet tea. Almost never drink carbonated drinks anymore. Just the occasional coke zero. I have no trouble peeing…?

No matter what I do or dont do, I stay around 250 pounds. I walk some every day while working. In Florida, that means sweating a lot. I have been eating a lot of salad, and rarely get seconds anymore at supper. I rarely eat all 3 meals anymore, sometimes just 1. I gave up hot dogs, vienna sausage and french fries for the most part. Rarely eat steak. I’ve cut back in all areas, including bread . But I don’t lose weight. I’ve have the same waist size now for over 15 years.

Ive learned to go when I’m caught up with other priorities. Then I can enjoy the trip fully. That’s the best mental state for me before I go…

I guess Im different. I’ve used spinning much more than casting. My best skill is skipping back under docks and tree limbs, etc. I can do that very well with spinning but not with casting. In the boat , if I’m carrying my whole boat arsenal, I have: 3 casting and 2 spinning. But I use the casting combos only for certain applications, mostly in open water. So I end up spending more time with spinning…because Im more often around shoreline structure and in and around and under trees. Im accurate with a BC if I have no obstructions. But I’m accurate either way with spinning…

Ranger Shimano Zoom I’d substitute one of the above for Toyota if they would give me a tacoma to drive …?

Ive never even heard of anyone catching one in the surf. Ive surf fishing mostly Florida, of course, and NC after that. Fall/ spring is the best time here for it.

That’s crazy. I’ve surf fished for 57 years now and have never caught one in the surf. I assume you’re in Florida?

That would be a no no in Florida. A friend and me were wade fishing and he insisted on carrying the stringer full of bream. He suddenly cried out” there’s something pulling on the stringer!” He jerked it up violently, and the last bream ( which was a good sized one,) was bitten in half. He started running in the water, and a big turtle head popped up behind like a periscope , then started in steve’s direction again. With that, Steve almost became the 3rd person to ever walk on water! ? After that I began using a flat bottom styrofoam cooler to put fish in!

At least it wasnt a “ big bird “.?

Was walking on security patrol last night and accidentally kicked this guy. He was stunned for a few minutes and eventually hopped on off…

I still have an old Rebel TB from the early 80s. Double sided. The latches broke off one side. I use the other side for old worm storage from the same time… Id still use it on the water if it wasn’t partly broken. I actually do take it when I have “ old worm day “ once a year or so on the water…

I haven’t watched tv in 4 months or so, just need to have the box reset. I dont watch professional sports, except a little braves baseball occasionally. I dont do streaming either. I Just watch a few videos of stuff I’m interested in. I will be back on Tv in time for Gator football though ! To answer the question. No. Tv doesn’t get in the way of my fishing ( except during college football season )

This is Our blue nose pit. Very sweet disposition. Our g. daughter named her - Duck. Can’t remember how she came up with that. Our cat ( sophie ) , is MIA at the moment, probably hiding from duck, even though duck is never slightly aggressive to her… Sophie showed up from a night out… Best rat cat we’ve ever had. Gets an occasional mole too, and decapitated a bird in our kitchen once…

You never know what’ll walk up at a boat ramp…
