  1. sense im getting a new 24v motor im wondering how to hook up the charger to this. i have a 2 bank dual pro right now one to my current 12v trolling battery and one bank goin to my starting/acc battery. when i get the 2nd trolling battery for the 24v system do i need to get a 3 bank charger so its 1 bank for each battery or can i run one bank and hook it up like the leads for the motor to charge both batteries in the series? this is my idea would it work?
  2. i ordered the all terrain should have it saturday wohoo. now i just gotto figure out how to hook up the 24volt system lol
  3. im looking to get a 24volt system on my 99 tracker 165. i have a 55lb powerdrive now. i can get a 65lb all terrain for 400 bucksbut im wondering is this a good motor? any problems you know of? i know they changed it to the edge now. also what would be envolved with converting it over. i know i need 2 batteries but will my existing wires handle the 24v setup? Ryan
  4. must be nice to have loads of $$$$$
  5. why dont you get a 24v for the back if you gonna run 2 12v batteries anyway. a 80# would fly on that boat. my buddys 17 foot bass tracker does like 3 mph with it and thats alot of weight its pushing. my 16ft tracker does 1.5mph with my 1 bow 55#. i did try this when i had my john boat and ran 2 30lbs it was quick i must say didnt have a speedo then though.
  6. how good do those solar chargers work? is it enough to keep a group 27 charged throughout the day under hard use? do they work when its cloudy?
  7. where do you see these craws to know what color they are. i have never seen a natural craw in my lakes? the only time i seen anything was last fall fishing a tourney one bass spit up claws that were like bright lobster red
  8. can you give me an estimate on how much you use straight into the carbs?
  9. under 5k omg. dude i just bought a 1999 16ft bass tracker with a 25hp outboard a 55lb powerdrive trolling motor 2 new batteries and a 2 bank onboard charger for 3800. things like brand new almost. you can get a hell of a first boat for under 5k. you can get an older ranger for under 5k
  10. in my car i pop off the brake booster cable and feed 1/3 can striaght into the motor and shut it down for 10 mins then start it and let it smoke out.
  11. hows the seafoam work out for ya. ive used it in my cars and it can sometimes work wonders for smoothing out a rough motor. i was thinking about running it thru my outboard. do u just run it through the gas or have u done the striaght into thr carb method
  12. how hard is it to change the impeller? where is it located?
  13. does anyone have any idea if a 1999 tracker series merc 25hp 2 stroke has a thermostat. should i have a continuous flow of water all the time or just when i give it some gas. at idle i get spitting water but not a continuous stream until i give it the throttle. if your not sure any idea where to look to see if i have a t-stat
  14. i think it could because it doesnt burn all the fuel off maybe... i think i might run 89 and see how she runs. not go up to 91 but not use the lowly 87 lol
  15. hey just wondering what octane do you guys run in your outboard? i know my manual says no lower than 87 but would it be better with 89 or 91 or 93 octane? not sure what most people run theirs on. Ryan
  16. im guessing you grabbed em in that grass huh?
  17. i see the pics on the porch. you didnt keep her did ya?
  18. as far as trim i believe the anti cavataion plate is suposed to be paralell to the bottom of the boat. also just see how the boat runs. should come on plane and be even bow up just a bit. if the nose it pushin in the water adjust it up and its doin a wheelie trim in down
  19. my tracker 25hp 2 stroke is making some weird noises. im not sure if theres something wrong but the motor seems to run strong. when i run the motor and its hot it starts to make a sorta rattling noise coming from the motor. hard to explain almost sounds like something rattling around inside as its running. doesn't do it when it first starts just after its had a run. otherwise it runs great. just have to touch the key and it fires right up and it pushes the boat 25mph. any clues? places to start? or is this just a common noise for 2 stroke outboards? im wondering if its old gas maybe, sounds almost like detonation on a car engine, maybe the timings to advanced and it is detonating? would explain why it makes the noise after the cylinders are hot.
  20. id never be able to see the rod tip end inmy boat its way up there under the front deck where nobody will ever get to lol. i dunno if your familiar with trackers
  21. i think it might have actually been the x125 sorry, and i cant find the d**n thing online anymore where i seen the deal errrrr.....
  22. eagle fishmark 480 and the lawrence x135. only thing i see the the wats are higher. what does that change? i can get a x135 for 229 bucks but i dunno if its worth it over the eagle?
  23. well thats another things down... the guy i bought it from put the push button circuit breaker in to replace the fuse lol
  24. They don't go in but a few inches as you cut the tubes off to maybe a foot. I use them all the time for spinning rods up to 7' long with no problems what so ever. not exactly sure what u mean? maybe a cheapo diagram u can draw on paint?
  25. rod socks is an idea, already got a dual pro onboard charger so im set there.
