Daiwa Tatula rod through Sportman's Outfitters either the 6'11" ML XF or the 7'1" ML XF for $109 is a great deal.

I logged in to TW at 1pm EST last year on Black Friday and the website kept crashing. lol You don't realize how many other people are doing the same thing.

Daiwa tatula reels
I was mainly a spinning gear fisherman prior to this season but based on recommendation I bought 4 Tatula casting reels for this fishing season by the end of the year I found myself bringing more casting rods than spinning rods with me. The Tatulas are very easy to use and cast a mile. The biggest complaint that I have read about them is for the guys that like to palm their rods.

Drop shot rod recommendations?
At your price point the St Croix Avid X ML is probably your best bet? Personally I lIke the longer rods myself and use a G Loomis NRX 872s (7'3") but that is $575 retail.

Ohio guys need Lk Erie advice
I know it's not the best week for a guy from Michigan to ask folks from Ohio for help but don't worry I'm a MSU guy so you just beat us. All is right in the world Now to my question where would be a good place to hold a small bass club tournament (no more than 12-15 boats) likely 2nd or 3rd weekend in July 2017 out your way, like Sandusky Bay or Marblehead Pte or what else would be good place to launch. I've mainly experienced Lk Erie on the north Shore of Canada but I'm thinking that time of the year launching out of the south is where you want to be. Thanks for any input you might offer.

Tatsu versus Sniper for leader
That's what I'm using too. 16 pound SX1 to 7 pound Sniper. It makes a great drop shot set up.

Tatsu versus Sniper for leader
Thanks guys you talked me out of spending money which rarely happens

Tatsu versus Sniper for leader
Are you noticing much of a difference using Tatsu versus Sunline Sniper for your leader connection to braid on your spinning rods? Just curious if I need to snag some Tatsu during the Black Friday sales.

Anyone fish Diawa rods
I have both though they are different uses. This is not a qualitative comparison but I really do like my Zillion rod better than Tatula. I found it about $50 off plus free shipping through Departure Outdoors in California. I've done a few transactions through them and they're good.

Anyone fish Diawa rods
I have 7'7" Zillion crankbait rod. I really like it as my Keitech rod.

Thoughts on Seaguar Red Label fluorocarbon
I found a 1000 yard spool of 15# on Ebay for $45 plus $3 to ship. That's even cheaper than the TW sale. I'll give it a shot.

Thoughts on Seaguar Red Label fluorocarbon
Reading the reviews on TW people seem to think it's great or hate it. There doesn't seem to be alot of middle ground. I was looking at the 12-15 pound range for crankbaits. Any thoughts?

Braid on spinning reels
Use backing. I switched to this setup this season and it works well. I used to use all fluorocarbon on my spinning reels. That is a very expensive route.
