  1. I use a 7'7" Daiwa Zillion rod and I really like it as my swimbait rod. I bought it on Ebay for right around $200.
  2. For certain techniques I have dedicated rods. Drop shotting is one of those techniques, in fact it's not uncommon that I have 2 of my rods set up that way. Consider using a snap to quickly change between crankbaits.
  3. I recently invested in Costa 580P sunrise lenses. Great glasses for early morning or low light conditions. They are great all day on cloudy days.
  4. You're right A-jay. I'll be ready at the state championships on Friday
  5. I got schooled in a tournament on Saturday by someone who was drop shotting more vertically. I have always tended to cast the bait out and work it back. I'm not sure why it would make a difference but if anyone has any thoughts about this please chime in.
  6. I'm a novice with the swinging jigheads. I ended up tying on a 11/16th so I used the 7'2" Heavy rod. Thanks for all your advice.
  7. I've seen a few people suggest dragging the lure. Maybe tournament day isnt a good time to try a new technique. It didn't seem that complicated to fish.
  8. It's the Fury not the Champion. You still think to throw it over the Tatula?
  9. I'm gonna give the swinging jighead a whirl tomorrow. I will be using either a 5/16th or 7/16th out in 17-18 fow. My question is should I fish it on my Dobyns Fury 733C, Daiwa Tatula 7'1" MHXF or Shimano Expride 7'2" Heavy? Thanks.
  10. 8 NRX'S is the correct answer
  11. Come on up to Lk St Clair in May. I doubt you'll find a place that you could catch more quality smallmouth.
  12. I know exactly what you mean I've purchased 2 NRX'S, a GLX, Daiwa Zillion, 2 Furys, Tatula, Shimano Expride this year. I may have a slight problem
  13. My kid's Barbie princess pole isn't too good to share with my friends
  14. It's free ground shipping so the usual 3-5 days. Order it today and you should have it by Tuesday or Wednesday.
  15. Click that link and don't look back. They'll package in a sturdy tube for you. I have 2 Furys and 1 Tatula. Tatula all day for that price.
  16. http://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/daiwa-tatula-freshwater-baitcast-fishing-rods/ Get the 7'2" MH Daiwa Tatula for the price. Great deal.
  17. http://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/daiwa-tatula-freshwater-baitcast-fishing-rods/ I'd do the 7'1" or 7'2" MH they have available. The price is right!
  18. It's all about perspective, your problem could be worse my friend. You could be not catching fish to figure out how to best remove the treble hooks. I think many newbies would be thrilled to have your problems
  19. Seeing you're from Wisconsin maybe worth a trip over to the St Croix store. I remember a post that someone made regarding going there and they said you could get rods with very minor irregularities for a good discount.
  20. Do you have a Jackall Poison Adrena rod? TW dropped the price again so I've been considering getting one.
  21. Just use braid with a fluorocarbon leader. It's as good as it gets!
  22. My personal experience I was impressed with G Loomis (Shimano) customer service and not so much with Dobyns.
  23. Get the 7'1MH XF and don't give it a second thought. I have it. It's a nice rod. Good for worm fishing.
  24. Here you go get your Tatula from here great price and free shipping http://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/daiwa-tatula-freshwater-baitcast-fishing-rods/
  25. I've ordered at least 15 rods online in the last year. The only one I had a problem with was ordered on Amazon and came in a flimsy rectangular cardboard box. Everything ordered through Ebay came is a sturdy circular tube. Maybe just a coincidence, I'm not sure but I was happy with all my Ebay orders.
