It's private so you probably aren't going to get too much info on it. I have fished it but didn't have any luck. There are bass in it. I couldn't tell you about a ramp. Most of the shoreline is private, and I don't recall a boat ramp at the park that borders the lake. I would assume that it is electric motor only. Why don't you call the in-laws and ask about a ramp and motor rules?

NOVA guys, if you are ever at Fountainhead Regional park, check out the mounted piranha in the office building (where you rent boats). It is a HUGE piranha that they supposedly caught there from the reservoir.

Troy, we'll get another tournament style get together going at Burke sometime but I think Aaron just wants to go for a short trip to "learn" the lake a little bit. You should be fine on Burke with a raft. You'll find those brushpiles, just put on a 1/2oz jig and drag it around for a while.

RW, you need to try the Reaction Innovations Skinny Dippers. When the situation calls for something like a solid bodied, skinny/small profile paddletail, they are money!

To answer your question, Steve...Aaron, Matt, and I each had a fish that were close to those fish but we didn't weigh them individually. I think they were around the 2lb range.
