  1. I think that's a good move. I don't know a lot about Kelly but from what I understand he keeps moving up to bigger programs and has had success at each of them, and most importantly for Notre Dame, he has done it quickly.
  2. I really want to check out Dobyns rods. I want a t-rig/light jig rod but I'm seriously expecting to get one of their rods once I get the dough. I've heard nothing but good things about them.
  3. I'll see what I can do! His username on here is Slip Gun. I'll shoot him a PM in case he doesn't see this.
  4. Aaron, I know a guy who lives kinda near where you keep your boat who has a Powell frog rod. Let me know if you wanna set something up so you can meet up and go handle it.
  5. I know you know what you are doing, I'm just razzin ya. Good luck with the steelies and be safe.
  6. but what was the water temp?
  7. it's clearly black magic.
  8. the scrolling was working fine, it's just annoying and harder to read than regular text. Thanks for disabling it, that makes it much easier to read.
  9. I was hoping you would make a post in this thread, Wayne. Are you planning on attending the Richmond Fishing Expo again this year?
  10. dave, congrats on the nice fish. I saw that Capt. Mike posted these on another site. Sounds like a fun trip!
  11. The VA record is 73lb. Although these aren't landlocked stripers
  12. You're crazy John. It's FAR too cold to fish from a kayak!
  13. I've been eying LC Pointers 100SPs (Ghost Minnow or any natural baitfish color) or some sort of jerkbaits that dive around 5-8 ft.
  14. You know what, I think I probably agree with XLFISH. I'm just not a fan of Burke.
  15. that's what made it fun last year. Ghoti had made some posts about deep diving crankbaits. I found the post and got him a bunch of deep divers. He was still surprised, but he also got some stuff that he wanted/needed (or at least I hope he did.) But still, this should be useful because sometimes it's not that easy.
  16. Good. There are lots of lakes around the state that are run like that; owned by a City which allows access with special fishing permits. I think that is a good solution. Glad to see the public will be allowed to fish it again. Public funds built it, why should the golf course and residents be the only ones to enjoy it?
  17. I have a telescopic Kistler Magnesium that I use for frogs and jigs. It has pretty good sensitivity. I haven't fished with any one piece Magnesiums for comparison, so I couldn't say definitively whether the sensitivity suffers. If you have the room, get a one piece. If you don't have room, don't worry too much about buying a telescopic rod.
  18. thingamajigs are always the problem.
  19. I Just don't have the money right now Dan I have to get pass December then recover in January and I don't use Credit cards. Looken for a free version right now, I bought license to prevent, I have always rode on a free Virus protection, Its now I see AVG uped the annie on spyware and scanning that I believe Glenn was pointing out that is running against my ZApro causing the issue. Im planning to change up all of it in March or April I gotcha. I would offer one of my spare BitDefender licenses but I think it ties in with some of my private billing info. Good luck solving the problem.
  20. $2000 a month! Are the injections liquid gold!?!?
  21. When I met President Bush at a South Lawn event I saw those same guys. They didn't really hide the dudes in full body armor with sub machine guns and assault rifles...they were pretty much just standing around watching the crowd.
  22. I'm sorry, I don't have time to wait while that scrolls. I can tell from the picture that sucks.
  23. He's likely exaggerating a bit or using HUGE bottles. $15 a bottle would be over $700 for ingredients for a 5 gal batch. A typical 5 gal batch can cost as low as $20 (for extract, all grain would be cheaper) and makes 2 cases. I'm not sure how much he made or what he bought vs. what he grew himself. All I know is that he said he had to buy multiple times the normal amount of hops to make it.
