  1. I will be out in the snow fishing, I have had some of my best luck in the snow and rain. If you want to do some bank fishin, gimmie a shout. As for Woodglen shoot me a PM. I put some structure in it a few years back. You gonna go out and throw the new Fuego in the snow?

What is an "explanation" point? :-? Is that the point in time when you tell your parents about not liking girls anymore? Dan? ;D lol. Shut up Wayne. I wrote that after I had just come home from a long evening at the Botanical Gardens viewing Christmas decorations so needless to say, I was not very alert.

ahahaha Andrew! I like the new name. My name will be followed by an explanation point only on my birthday. Anyway, yes, I believe you are talking about the Pacemaker site. AndrewDo is on it, Thai just joined, Mudkart is on, as well as a few other guys. Kiko13 on this forum is the administrator over there. That kayak trip was kind of an impromptu thing, it's not regularly scheduled but those guys do generally get a few trips organized per season. Unfortunately, I think most of them are probably finished with kayaks for the year.
  4. I have in the past. Can be pretty good. There are white perch in there as well.
  5. I just saw this bait on a tv show that was covering iCast. Looks a bit like a toy but I guess it would work as an alternative for frogs?
  6. wrapping a reel on a blank, yes, I've seen that, but never just a pole like that guy appears to have done.
  7. Never done it, but I've seen it, although never with a reel before.
  8. You pretty much completely missed the point! The reel is mounted on what appears to be a broom handle! Thai, that reminds me of the guy we saw at the pond in Centreville with the giant rod with no reel.
  9. cheaters. It's not christmas yet!
  10. If I'm fishing clear water, no rattle. Dingy water=rattle. If I'm fishing a specific target ie: a brushpile, dock, tree, rockpile, etc... no rattle. If I'm fishing something without a specific target ie: weedline, ledge, wall, etc... then I use a rattle. I think when I fish areas like that, a rattle helps call fish in from the larger area in which they can spread out. Generally, i fish 3/8oz but I also fish 1/4oz and 1/2oz fairly often.
  11. Rowland, what is with the HMG handles? They look weird for some reason. Do they all look like that or did you do something to them?
  12. yeah, but with a local guy there is no shipping cost added, plus no risk of reels getting damaged or lost in the mail...
  13. those transformer yaks look pretty sweet.
  14. I don't think I've mixed it with anything but Coke. Now I pretty much only drink whisk(e)y straight unless it's the cheap stuff, which I mix with Coke or Vanilla coke.
  15. I will. Best of luck.
  16. For those who are so inclined, please pray for my fishing buddy. He is having a PET scan tomorrow to see the results of his latest round of chemotherapy. Thanks.
  17. You use stx's right? let me know how that works out I might have to do mine aswell. yes sir. ill start them this week. ill keep you updated. good luck dude. I took my Fuego apart once and it was quite intimidating. I would recommend you lay out a towel on your workplace so you don't have any bouncing pieces. Also, keep all the washers and what not facing the same direction when you lay them out, that way you will know which side faces which way when you put them back together.
  18. I may send them to someone else so that I can get boca bearings installed. I'll let you know how it turns out.
  19. for sure, but I need to find out if I can just drop them off instead of sending them in. The website only says stuff about mailing the reels to him...
  20. The Lightnings are ABEC-5, correct? That would be a decent upgrade from the stock bearings in my reels, correct? oh, and thanks for putting up with my ignorance, John. I truly do appreciate the expertise.
  21. that's the beauty of Yamamoto plastics, they tear apart completely upon the hookset so as to free the hook from the plastic!!! ;D
  22. as far as I can tell, it's just some dude who does repairs at his house.
  23. oh, are they different than other bearings?
  24. ok, good. I'm thinking about having my reels serviced by a guy who uses TG's Yellow Rocket Fuel and he has TG's Ceramic Rocket Bearings available. I think I'll ask if he will install Boca bearings if I send them along. Just to be clear, the Yellow Label stuff will last until my next maintenance or will I need to add some in between? Any recommendations on which Boca's I should be looking at? FWIW, it would be for a Revo STX, Revo Premier, Citica E, and Daiwa Fuego.
