  1. I like Green Top because they carry minor brands like Case Plastics and they don't run out of good stuff like BPS does. They also have a far superior rod selection than BPS. Also, their employees actually know what they are talking about.
  2. welcome! glad to have another nova member. where do you usually fish?
  3. It was Demps fault that he dislocated his elbow. It happened before anyone even touched him. That's exactly why they teach players to tuck your arms and go down, don't try to break your fall because something like that or worse will happen.
  4. From what I hear, Green Top has been competing favorably with BPS.
  5. "My kitties smell like cigarettes. Kitties aren't supposed to smell like cigarettes, they're supposed to smell like kitties!"
  6. This is about what I expected. I have no idea how Cinci ended up ranked so highly with their weak schedule. The only mildly challenging games they had were WVU, OSU, and Pitt, and out of those three, I believe Pitt is the only team that I would call anything more than "good." ( I would call them "pretty good")
  7. wow. btw Steve, ever heard of a savings account?
  8. lol Glenn. Read the second name. Slowly.
  9. Hi Dan, where'd you hear that? I don't remember. It was something about a coating or slime they have on them that tastes bad to bass but who really knows?
  10. My ride has changed his mind. Looks like we're aiming to go early Friday morning. Who is going to be there on Friday?
  11. I don't know how necessary that personal foul penalty was but I'm glad Penn State won.
  12. The condition of that field is unacceptable.
  13. Their prices are inline with just about every other brick and mortar retailer. They might be more expensive than TW or something (which I'm not convinced they are) but they make up for it with the fact that you can go there and see the items in person before you buy them. That is VERY useful when researching about reels and rods. I challenge you to find another store in the state that has as many high end G Loomis and Daiwa rods. They are the only place that I've found that sells Zillion rods.
  14. I was under the impression that bass did not like to eat tadpoles but I imagine a goby style bait would imitate tadpoles well.
  15. lol, I figured this thread was coming. I thought Tennessee was going to really challenge Tech but I guess I was wrong. Taylor really played well. I think Tech could do very well next year if Taylor keeps improving and Williams stays healthy.
  16. I'll ask my ride when he is planning to get there and I'll have to plan around that. It'll probably be sometime in the morning. I know we'll also be planning a stop at the VA tackle mecca that is Green Top. If you've never been there, you MUST stop in to see the best tackle store I've ever been to.
  17. Don't give him credit! It just encourages him.
  18. The ones I saw on tv were akin to mid-low end strippers in Reno. You know, maybe almost good enough looking but maybe a little chunky or with too big of a nose or skin that is orange, etc... and a somewhat indescribable look that implies a suspicious bill of health. See "Jersey Shore" on MTV... I'm mostly kidding, most of them are pretty darn good looking but there were a couple that I would describe as "last resort only"
  19. Exactly what I was thinking.
  20. I'm probably going on Saturday, as are a few people I know. Thai, David, are you guys planning on going? Depending on how many of us go then we will ride down with my buddy. If there are too many to fit in his car with his buddies than we can take our own car. Either way, it should be a lot of fun. Rowland, are we meeting at the Daiwa booth again?
  21. it's not like they're rubbing food on their almost naked bodies... unless you ask of course! Still, on tv, it seemed like some of their employees were not necessarily the type of girls that I would like serving anything meant to be ingested.... Puritan. ;D Hey man, if they add a "herpes free" guarantee then I'll change my mind.
  22. No, apparently Leech and the administration have been at odds for a while, but this incident is definitely the thing that allowed them to get rid of him (in a way that happened to save them $800k)
  23. I'd say that he is the center of the story. If what Burley posted is true, then I can understand Leech's actions. I know that there are players who feel entitled and will try to get back at coaches who don't treat them like superstars or give them enough playing time. A lot of times those players get their entitlement from having hotshot Dads.... If what some of the players and coaches are saying about James is true, then he isn't the innocent concussion victim that the media is making him out to be. Frankly, that story didn't make any sense to me. Sending a kid to a room for having a concussion doesn't make any sense. Him being a smartass, lazy, uncoachable player at least helps the story make sense.
  24. A message board... I wish ESPN would mention something about James' reported laziness or confrontations with the coaches....but they won't at risk of hurting his Dad's feelings or something.
