RANT
It's the same way for me. My bank only has one branch even remotely close to me so I have to drive out there when I want to do something that requires me to be there in person. When it comes to checks, I just mail them in now. It takes a few days but it's free.

Alabama/Texas It's Time To Start This Thread
3 of the biggest 5 stadiums are in the Big 10. Penn State has tailgating and pregame shenanigans that can rival any school. It's not just a southern thing, but I do admit it is more common in the South.

Orange Bowl
Passer rating: 148.7 Jordan Jefferson Passer rating: 137.2 Not to mention Nesbitt has rushed for over 1,000 yards and 18 TDs compared to Jefferson's under 200 yds of rushing and 1 TD. I'd take Nesbitt.

"A 16 pound 6 ounce Tambaqui (black finned Pacu) eats a strawberry in Southeast Florida!" - from the video caption. ;D

Embarrassed of these questions...
considering I would need to buy some waders and completely learn how to catch smallmouth in the winter ON A FLY....I think I'll pass. but my advice is if you really want to work on fly fishing, don't take other gear along. It will force you to practice. Otherwise, it's too easy to just set down the fly rod when you get frustrated. We'll get at 'em come May/June, don't worry.

Orange Bowl
seriously. You obviously haven't seen Iowa play this year. Their defense is VERY good.

lol, i didn't draw it, I found it on google.

World records live VS. artificial????
Yes. There is a reason that tournaments don't allow live bait.

Shimano Cumulus
please tell me that you will make one between 7'2" and 7'4" in MH.....pretty please?

calais in saltwater?
If I spent that much on a reel I wouldn't allow it within 50 miles of saltwater. ;D

Orange Bowl
Stanzi was injured for their last two games. They lost both games. One of those games was Ohio State, and even then they took it to overtime. Now Stanzi is back. With him their offense is "good enough." This game has started exactly how I thought it would, with Iowa's defense shutting out GT's offense completely.

can someone direct me to a how to on oiling a reel after use?
That sounds like more than enough to maintain your rod/reel. Keep doing that and get the reel serviced once a year and you should have it for a very long time.
-
Orange Bowl
why? they've been playing good defense all year long.

Embarrassed of these questions...
Wayne's answers are perfect, but here's an image that might help you visualize an eddy better. Ignore the "fence" stuff. I don't know what that is. Just note that the eddy is a change in the current (in it's direction and usually its speed) caused by an obstacle (rocks in the case of this image) or a protrusion from the bank.

Anyone who wants to bash BSU schedule
They're playing VT at FedEx! I might try to get tickets to that game.
-
Pretty rad
The funny thing is, the reason they are having these problems is because they have abandoned their own banking practices and started using the rest of the world's.
-
Pretty rad
The UAE is one of the friendlier countries in the Middle East, but yeah, they do still practice sharia

Anyone who wants to bash BSU schedule
agreed. One or two games doesn't prove a whole lot. It's unfair to the teams that don't have a cakewalk the whole season like BSU always does. I guess you can't blame BSU if no one will play them, but I can still believe they aren't deserving of a BCS game. For me, a team has to earn it.
-
Anyone who wants to bash BSU schedule
Still feel the same...sorry. I know it sucks, but I'm not changing my mind until they play a schedule that is tougher. (I believe I read that their schedule was ranked 61st in toughness this year)

Why snakeheads are dangerous
No, the tagged one I caught was measured and released at 22" almost exactly 4 months before I caught it and measured it at between 30 and 31 inches. Yeah, the UP has muskies but they are waaaaay far up there. I do not think they would fare well in the tidal Potomac. The Tidal Potomac and the UP are pretty different. I also do not think snakehead would be capable of surviving in the UP. Then, even if both were in the same areas, I don't think Musky would inhabit the same habitat as snakeheads because of the low oxygen content. I believe Muskies require a great deal of dissolved oxygen in the water.

I don't doubt it, I'm just interested to hear more about these strange instructions that came with the reel.
-
Why snakeheads are dangerous
Even if Muskies could survive in the same areas that Snakeheads live, I wouldn't be so sure they would outlast snakeheads. I caught a snakehead that grew 8" in four months, 22" to ~30"...They mature so quickly that I'm not sure muskies would be able to eat a very high percentage of them before they got too big. Of course, all this is moot because they would never be found anywhere near each other.

Well then you'll take the opinions of the guides and anglers in the area?
