well you're still right about the Jager/Redbull or Vodka/Redbull mixes. That is a depressant with a stimulant.

Sniper show
Are you sure? That doesn't sound right. I have a hard time believing a 7.62 machine gun has the longest kill shot instead of something like a 50 cal bolt action rifle.

Mepp's Bucktail Spinners?
I don't use them for bass. I just don't see them as bass lures. I know they will catch bass, but I'm not convinced they'll catch any more or bigger sized fish than a spinnerbait or something else.

What line for topwater lures
That'll work fine too. It's a little stretchier than Yo Zuri but that should be advantageous with treble hook baits.

Original Silver Buddy
I've been using these with success lately

What line for topwater lures
Go try to walk the dog with 12lb fluoro for a while and you'll see that it can be a big deal. It won't pull the lure under the water but sometimes it can pull the front down just enough to throw off the action. It'll make the lure work subsurface for a few twitches until you get the line back up out of the water. I think Yo Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft 10-12lb test is perfect for topwaters (besides frogs)

Tacticool
that's the version I am more familiar with, also. I wish I knew the real story behind that kid. Obviously it can't be real military gear, the kid is just too fat. I'm thinking he is one of those kids that gets really into airsoft and goes out and has giant airsoft "battles" with other kids using their $600 replica airsoft guns...

Kistler Carbon Steel?

Hee hee! Ho ho!
I'll give you a Quantum PT and $40 for it... ;D I thought my Fuego for $110 was the best deal possible, that's a great find!

Is 8# Yo-Zuri for cranks, spinnerbaits too light?
I wouldn't use it around rocks. That line is not very abrasion resistant and adding a thin diameter on top of that might cause problems if there are rocks around.

Fiber One muffins
I've been known to eat a box or two of Fiber One bars but I've never had the muffins. The bars are really good but they sure make ya farty. One day I ate a Fiber One bar and ate a bowl of Kashi "Go Lean Crunch." Not a good idea. Literally (and I mean "literally" literally) thousands of farts that day.

Lake Anna trip...who's going and with who???
Aaron, do you think Matt and Ace would have enough room for me? I am hoping to be able to go on the trip.

Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper
fish them on a 5/0 keel weighted hook. 1/8oz should do it.

Sad days in S. Florida
No, you're right, they do inhabit the same areas sometimes but for the most part they seem to stick to shallow, vegetation choked areas that bass stay away from. There's nothing we can do about them now but I'm not too worried. You're right that it hasn't been very long but they are doing very well and the fishery biologist in charge of the Potomac doesn't see them as having that much affect so far. Like I said, I'm not to worried.

any nova members going on the BR road trip?
I agree. NOVA only goes to Prince William as far as I'm concerned.

Sad days in S. Florida
What extreme cold? It hasn't been any colder here than it has the past few winters. We've had more snow but it hasn't really been any colder than the past few years.

Shimano Cumara?
7'2" Medium Fast. An XF might be another option. I have the 7'2" MXF and I think it works great for the techniques you want it for but I tend to like XF rods over F rods for those applications.

Sad days in S. Florida
I've caught two. They inhabit water with lower oxygen levels than bass. They aren't eating the bass but the bass are eating them. So far, they haven't seemed to affect the bass population. VDGIF doesn't seem to think they are as bad as previously imagined. Check the "other fish species" section for a couple threads about snakeheads if you want to hear more about what I think about them.
