  1. This is one of his best seasons statistically. 107.2 Passer Rating 4,202 passing yards 33 TD 68% completion percentage Quit hatin' What happened even with all the turnovers his team still had a chance to win the game. He could have run for a minimal gain, or thrown an incomplete pass. He wanted to be the "Gunslinger" and he blew it. He want thinking whats best for the team. If he stays within the system as a "dont lose it for us QB" he is ok. If if it comes down to crunch time and he has to make a play, dont bet on it. The Giants, the Eagles, and now the Saints all should send him thank you notes for their Super Bowl trips. you obviously don't remember this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un3B7Og-FS0 I'm not saying he doesn't choke sometimes, because he does, but that doesn't discount the fact that the team wouldn't have even been there without him.

  3. They look awesome but at that price I wonder about the blank quality. I wish they would make a really high end rod with all the nice trimmings and a high quality blank.
  4. after further review, I grant an additional +1 to bizz for the second rebuttal burn.
  5. -2 to Fourbizz for trying to usurp the burn battle judge. ;D And I knew the filter so it made sense to me.
  6. +2 to Tin for the PM burn!
  7. 1 point to Tin for the hiking burn, 2 points to bizz for the rebuttal burn.
  8. or my college roommate sitting in his basement playing video games. Both sound equally probable. ;D
  9. dude, copyright that story. quick.
  10. I agree. I believe that any healthy body of water can support a freak giant that is a few pounds heavier than the normal bigguns but remains uncaught. btw, does the poor grammar in this thread's title bother anyone else every time that it appears?
  11. Burley, try bending your rod into an arc. That way it will compensate for the improper tracking.
  12. They are MUCH larger than the average frog bait.
  13. The lack of split grip designs was making it a difficult choice for my next rod, but this is pretty much putting it over the edge. I agree with flechero's viewpoint. I certainly don't feel like SirSnook about rod experts because I know that there must be stuff about breakage and graphite properties as well as applied forces and other stuff I don't know. BUT if the rod is broken and not under warranty, give the option for the $50 swap. The lesson is clear, just use the Xpeditor service. It certainly favors the company over the user but at least you'll get the situation resolved favorably. Besides, as previously mentioned, the difference after shipping is factored into the equation is relatively small.
  14. Aaron, have you seen them in real life? They are HUGE. I will probably get one before this summer. ;D
  15. And this was hardly the worst play in history, I would argue that the worst play was the one guy who picked up a fumble and ran it to the wrong endzone to score a TD for the other team. But yeah, it was a pretty poor decision.
  16. I absolutely hate the NFL's overtime rules. So dumb. The Saints don't deserve to win. They've been given like 6 turnovers and they still couldn't put the game away...

aaron, it should be on sometime soon. It's one of those shows that they replay over and over again at random times like 10am on a Thursday or something.
  18. I think that's what I'll do. Keep a log in a book while I'm out fishing and then input them to a computer. I think the best bet would be Microsoft Excel. You can use that to make spreadsheets with all the relevant information.
  19. But new species don't even have to do things that significant to change or damage an ecosystem. To use your example, grass carp can actually affect very minute aspects of a body of water that can result in major changes to the whole ecosystem. Anytime you introduce ANYTHING into an ecosystem (plants, animals, bugs, etc...) there is a chance that they might affect some small, unforeseen piece of the ecosystem that can domino into larger problems. It's the law of unintended consequences.
  20. seriously. Steve, if you post two times in a thread, it takes twice as much scrolling to go down the page! ;D I don't keep a fish count because frankly I have trouble keeping track of catching any more than 4 fish. I think I'm going to start keeping a log but it will be more to analyze weather and water conditions, lures, etc...
  21. ahhh, gotcha. So there is a piece of blank in the back part? Is that carbon fiber on yours?
  22. ha, beat ya to it, Flyhatch ;D
  23. Robert, I was not a fan of the color scheme of the swimbait combo, but dude, this is one AWESOME looking rod. You and the builder did a fantastic job. I have a few questions. What is the point of the slant bridge handle? How are they connected to the rod? What are they made of?
  24. That's a steal.
