  1. I don't know what kind of snakeheads they have in your area, but that chart has a picture of a northern snakehead.
  2. Anyone heard of TG's Yellow Rocket Fuel or TG's Ceramic Rocket Bearings?
  3. That's basically the same as the trailer for the Nat'l Geographic documentary...
  4. I think I might give Jim Funkhouser at Dominion Tackle a try. Wayne P. recommended him to me.
  5. x2 with me except with RI Skinny Dippers instead of the Swing Impact.
  6. No, I rigged it properly. I've just found baits of that style that perform much more to my liking.
  7. There are some local guys but I think I might end up sending them to Reel Mechanic and see if he will upgrade some bearings as well. I haven't decided yet.
  8. This one actually has action. ;D
  9. No offense, but, we know. Common (slacker) knowledge. Just make sure not to ever buy a binder addition because you can't sell them back. They are some new phenomenon ripping everyone off. Who's we? There are plenty of guys on the board who are freshman or high school seniors who have no idea how to take advantage of those tips, especially if they don't have older siblings who went to college. If you already knew about it, great, but the thread wasn't intended just for you.
  10. I don't get what all the fuss is about. I mean, it's a funny movie, but everyone is acting like it's leaps and bounds above any other recent comedy movie. Heck, I liked Stepbrothers more.
  11. Personally, I like them a lot. I had a lot of success fishing them over weeds.
  12. It's Andrew! He's ALIVE!!!! ;D
  13. No idea. I might be taking/sending my reels in for servicing soon.
  14. I believe he has been mentioned before, the search features just sucks. But you're right, he is an inspiration. I think whatever "fundraising" ideas you have, make sure you contact the man himself to see what he thinks.
  15. mastodon= woolly mammoth.
  16. congrats Simon, that is a BEAUTIFUL fish.
  17. But would they be as successful? Today's game is different. The players are stronger and faster. Could Jim Brown be successful against today's defenses? Impossible to say for sure. Any guess would be pure speculation.
  18. true, but there's always the fact that he played Div. 1AA. Not to take anything away from him, but who is to say it would have been the same had he played in Div. 1A? Yelp like RW said he was a bust in the NFL which aint as hard as Div. 1A It's still impossible to tell how many records he would have had if he had played against tougher competition. Sure, he was successful in the NFL, but so are other players who were not in college ie: Tom Brady
  19. true dat. Too bad National Geographic scared everyone to death and they're ignorant to any information about snakeheads other than the image of them as "Frankenfish"
  20. Defense gets no respect. That's just the way it is. :-/
  21. I definitely prefer XF rods for plastics and jigs. I also like them for spinnerbaits.
  22. oh man. this is gonna get expensive fast. Jay, I'll bet you could recommend 3 baits that would eat up almost all of that price limit themselves, eh?
  23. wow, only 5 first place votes separated Ingram and Gerhardt.
  24. you're such a swimbait snob, Jay. ;D
  25. I would recommend a higher lb/test. 20lb test is too thin of a diameter for most casting reels. Thicker braid will almost certainly work better on your reel. There's nothing wrong with using 30lb or 50lb braid on a casting reel. For what you want to do with it, I'd look for a 7' MH Fast rod.
