a camper is someone who sits and waits in one spot. Usually around corners, behind objects, or laying prone in a long hallway. It's considered a lame and annoying tactic. Snipers don't count as campers.

I agree. Live bait fishing is not as much of a challenge. You might as well fish for catfish if you are going to fish for bass with live bait. It takes the whole puzzle solving aspect out of the activity which makes it just like cat fishing. If you're fishing for food, then that's a different story, but it's certainly not as "sporting" as fishing with artificials. There is a reason why live bait isn't allowed in tournaments... Personally, I am not as proud of bass I catch with live-bait as I am of bass I catch with artificials. Nor am I as impressed by live-bait catches of others. It just takes something away from the catch.

Beaverdam is decent. From what I've heard it's been tougher this year than the recent past. I caught a smallie there that almost went 3lbs. It is a good fishery, it's just been difficult to find the fish this year. There are largemouth, smallmouth (not many), sunfish, stripers, and some musky if I recall correctly. The difficulty with Beaverdam is that it is very difficult to fish from shore and it is electric motors only. The launch used to suck but they've made some recent improvements that will make launching a jon boat much easier.

I don't mean to be unwelcoming but there are reasons that I don't give people fishing spots until I've met them. Believe me, I used to send my share of PMs to new members about spots and then POOF they vanish from the community. It's nothing personal, it's just I've decided that I'm not going to waste my time with members until they've proven they are going to be worthwhile contributors or good people.
