  1. LOL, I get what you're saying but one fish should be alright. I've got one in the freezer but I probably won't eat too many others within the month.
  2. But how will you cut it without getting blood all over your new boat? You should just throw it in your livewell and take it home to eat. Heck, give it to Thai and he can eat it or I'll take it. They are pretty good eating
  3. No one is ready for their first snakehead blow up. lol
  4. I didn't see the hit, but I called the ACC upset yet again this week. Did you see the GT/UVA game? Dwyer crushed some poor DB
  5. Personally, I wouldn't spend that much on the rod for a technique like swimbaits but if you have the cash, GO FOR IT. I know a lot of swimbait guys really like Okuma's Big Bait series. They got great reviews from Tackle Tour and they are also pretty cheap.
  6. I've started to use this for bait lube: It's pretty oily and you don't have to get it on your hands like Megastrike.

I came across that site last year. It truly is a good laugh.
  9. I'm going to get my friend to ask one of the state's fisheries biologists about it. I've heard so many different takes on the black pigmentation so I'm not sure what to think.
  10. Check this fish out. I've seen plenty of fish with the black pigmentation spots but nothing like this before. It looked like someone dipped his tail into ink.
  11. If it's full of water the whole year then it is stocked with something.
  12. The article said it was a state owned lake and speculated it was one of the lakes in the Natchez Trace State Park.
  13. this reminds me of a certain avian-named boy who flew away in a balloon.
  14. Yeah, I saw that one too. Those people who comment are usually idiots.
  15. Are you sure? That just can't be correct. If it is, go in and buy me the 7' MH LTX and I will send you $150. Seriously, I'm not kidding.
  16. Don't forget David's fish was on a chartreuse chatterbait. I honestly don't think color mattered yesterday, I think most of the fish just weren't where we were fishing.
  17. I think baseball forced Marge Schott out and the NFL got rid of Art Modell . Art was continuing to claim finacial problems, even with a no cost stadium lease that brought in then an estimated 25 mil in parking and concession revenues. NFL asked him to sell and he did to his minority partner. Today, Modell still owns 1% of the team thats worth an estimated 600 million in todays market, so thats about 60 million. Not a bad 1% I'm no math whiz, but I believe 1% of of 600 million is $6 million. But the point remains the same, that is not a bad 1% either.
  18. I think I just saw Joe Montana behind home plate at the Yankees/Angels game. Although it could have been Pat Sajak, it was only a quick glimpse.
  19. tackle warehouse shirt in the pic!
  20. I've wondered about that myself. I think using the word "we" when referring to a sports team as if you had something to do with the win or loss is a sign that you are too into it, especially a professional sports team. I can understand a high school or college team because you belong to that organization as a student.
  21. I saw that story last night on ESPN. I'd like to hear more details about what happened.
  22. how are politicians involved in this? which politicians exerted control in this situation? The Rams play in a Stadium built with public tax dollars. If they continue in this city that won't change. It would seem there would be a slightly different set of standards and norms given that vs. the Rams playing in a self funded stadium. To my knowledge, State and St Louis elected officials have been moot on Limbaugh. I'm sure most consider his inclusion in the group a plus for keeping the team in St Louis. I'm still not seeing how any politicians are involved in the decision? Wasn't it the NFLPA or owners that decided against Rush?
  23. Gary Yamamoto Flappin' Hogs
  24. wait, what? you can't be talking about this thread? Who cares if he didn't get a dog that was recommended. Clearly this dog showed up at the right time and he decided to rescue it. Good for him. Better to rescue a dog that isn't the exact breed that you want than let him get put down while waiting for a corgi or whatever breed, especially if you aren't solidly set on that breed.
  25. You have far more self control than I do. I'm glad you are able to understand and realign your priorities. Don't worry, you'll be able to get some sweet gear soon.
