I would like to know if any of Cabelas rods compare to the BPS Extreme or Tourney Rods. I have a Cabelas gift card and am wanting to get a 7 ft. med. action baitcasting rod. The 2 rods I mention from BPS are all I can afford right now, so please no loomis or St. Croix please,, as much as I would like to own one. Thanks

What we are doing in Iraq and elsewhere is just an excuse for the oil companies to raise prices.... when gas hit 3.00 a gal. last year, the big guys were making record PROFITS, this means after ALL expenses and taxes.(in the billions of dollars), and the ceo of one had his salary raised to over 2.5 mil. per year. So dont blame the President or the war... blame who really is costing you... the oil companies. They pay big bucks to keep really fuel efficent cars off the market.... If a college kid can make a car get 80-90 mpg,, then so can the car manufacturers,,, but they wont since the oil companies are lining their pockets not to. It is all a game for profit... just like the pharmacutical business and healthcare.... BUT the alternative of living in a socialist country where the government decides if you can get healthcare or your drugs or where and when you can drive is a lot worse,,, just ask anyone from the old Russia or East Bloc countries....is not an option I want to even consider. Do you want someone to tell you, you cant go fish your favorite lake or stream because it is out of the area you are allowed to travel????????? I beleive in anyones right to express their displeasure with the government, and the way this country is run,,, that is why we have the freedom of speech,,,, but I ask you this, are you being active in finding a solution? do you vote??? or do you sit on the sidelines and just holler about what you dont like???? We live in the richest, most treasured country in the world, remember that you could have been born in Somalia or Iran, or China, but through the grace of God, you were born American,,,You can hunt, fish, visit any state you wish, voice your opinion, have a protest march,, and not one Government Official will shoot you or hang you or gas you because you did. Being a former crazy Winter Metalmouth fisherman in the Pacific Northwest, I used the cast and shake the rod technique for the guides and either blackberry brandy or peppermint schnapps for the fisherman.... after a couple of hours,, who cared of the guides iced up... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

muddy, give firefox a try, you will not regret it. we use it at work, i use it at home, never had a problem with it. We even use Thunderbird for our email,, it is so much nicer than outlook.... imho. Firefox is very user friendly, and is easy to get rid of if you do not like it for some reason.

I am of the opinion that even if I do not catch fish, I am not skunked. I came away, having learned something that day to make me a better fisherman..... Frustrated,, Hell Yea, get that way a lot when the fish wont jump on my hook, but skunked, nahhh,,, it is all in how you look at your day.

Met a bank fisherman actually using one of those last summer. It was pretty cool, he had it rigged on a spinning rod, and would cast it out where he wanted to fish and watch the screen... Didnt see him catching any more fish than anyone else though,,,,

The picture is not altered but it is not a world record,, this was a bear that had killed a couple of hikers. Montana It is illegal for married women to go fishing alone on Sundays, and illegal for unmarried women to fish alone at all. Man, how you supposed to meet girl who likes to fish,, if it is illegal for them to be out without being married...... Yea, I am a die hard Seahawks fan, and I believe they will beat the Bears this weekend. All you have to do in the Playoffs is keep it close and get some luck, and after watching Romo botch the field goal attempt this weekend, the Seahawks have luck on thier side..... Besides, there is a small revenge factor involved after the thrashing the Bears put on them at the beginning of the season. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
