Powell crankbait rods
Since you are not doing any deep water cranking, you can go with either. If you were going to be fishing deep water, a lot of DT20s or larger, then I would go with the glass rod.

Fishing with Killer Whales????
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDQ1GAZZk6E I have actually seen this happen in a Salmon Tourney in the Straits between Washington State and Vancouver Island. Makes you feel real small when you are in a 16-18 ft. boat, and a pod of Killer Whales are swimming around you.

OSPREY SPIRITUAL PERFORMER crankbaits

Largemouth released on open Erie
I'm not fishing in the same tourny as this guy I don' get this? Would this be some sort of cheating reference? If it is! I would love for one of you to tag along and get a look at what catching 30 to 50 4lb+ bass a day looks like. Have you ever culled 5 pound smallies? I highly doubt it! I am the last person on this planet that would cheat on anything. The reason I asked the question was we have released bass more than 5 miles away from the harbor and assumed they would find their way back but, I wasn't sure if thier homing instinct was great enough. It would be like blinfolding you and dropping you off in the middle of some random forest counties away. Do not think it was meant as anything that drastic, I think what the person was saying, is that if you did do what they said, the fish would still be alive, even way out on the open water. That being said, being a tx. angler myself those comments will cause a raucous response from many people. Because we all know of someone who has done something like this to try and cheat for a victory. LMB are very adaptable and will even find their way home. Those fish you are releasing out on open water, will find structure, and food, so no worries about releasing them.

One bait, one month!
1/4 stick of Dynamite!!! Wait, did that just come out?? Seriously, do not know what you are talking about.... I do not have any dynamite, that stuff is dangerous...... nope not me, besides, it is illegal. What do you mean you found blasting caps in my tackle box......I protest, that is an illegal search.. those caps are for shaping my charges, I mean lures.

The simplicity of consistently catching bass
My brain is on information overload..... I guess I am one of those people who have to see it to understand it. I need to find someone to show me how to fish structure. Because the middle of the lake is a foreign place to me. :-[ :-/

beginner fishfinder help
Have you looked at the Eagle Cuda series, they are made for what you are looking for, now they are black and white, at least mine was. But, they detach easily swivel, and Eagle is made by Lowrance. Just something to stir the pot a little as far as options are concerned.

Should we just let em die?
I have basically the same thing set up as Fluke. However, I gave myself 5 days on life support instead of 3. At the 24th hour of the 5th day, they have to pull the plug. By that time, my family, that live out west could have come say their goodbyes, and what not, and then be here for the funeral/wake. I also have a DNR provision after 70 yrs. old. As for the other countries and how they deal with the elderly and the sick, in my opinion, never mind, that will lead to politics and religion,,, :-X :-X

Former Trail Blazers Kevin Duckworth dies at 44
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=Ah9wgTGOcSCq.jvS81G1IBA5nYcB?slug=ap-obit-duckworth&prov=ap&type=lgns This is a sad day for me. Kevin Duckworth, dies of an apparent coronary. He was the starting center for the Portland Trailblazers when they made their runs at the championship in the late 80's and early 90's. I actually met him once. I was at a JK Gill at one of the local malls, buying something. I was writing a check at the counter, when I felt this giant shadow fall over and around me. It was Duck. He was signing autographs for some kids and his pen had run out of ink. Instead of saying that's all to the kids, he came in and bought another pen to continue signing. He truly was a great guy, and he loved to fish as much as he loved to play basketball. To bad he did not take care of himself better. :'( R.I.P. Duck.

Preparing for winter
Having hunted and fished almost my entire life in the Pacific Northwest, you learn how to stay warm in the wind and rain... I start off with Silk long underwear, then... GORE TEX!!!! GORE TEX!!!!! GORE TEX!!!!!! It is thin, lightweight, and easy to move around in... I have been tempted to try the Under Armour but can not get away from my Gore Tex jacket and bibs. Absolutely love them for winter conditions.

6 lb. on baitcasting gear is excellent also, for weightless trickworms, flukes, senkos, and small mojo/splitshot rigs......
