Here in Georgia, you do not have to have a "title" for a trailer. All you get is a tag and registration. I also had no problem whatsoever getting my boat licensed here with only the bill of sale. The boat and trailer had not been licensed in several years. As for transporting, all you need is a signed bill of sale with the sellers phone #, address, etc.... you are allowed to pull the trailer home then get it licensed. You may get pulled over, but once you show the bill of sale, there should be no problem, unless he pulled you over for something else.

Get the word out, to all the fishing clubs, and sporting goods stores in your area. Advertise, Advertise, Advertise. Most radio stations will do free spots, for fund raisers like this. Especially if they get to promote their station during the tourney. Make sure you have enough volunteers for support logistics, so you can go fishing too! Make sure you are using some sort of certified scale if there is prize money involved. Anglers as a whole are pretty good guys, but when money gets involved, some can turn nasty over a hundredth of a pound, lol.

Welcome Aboard!! There is some great fishing in your area. You are also smack dab in the middle of some of the best deer, elk, and bear country in the state. So if you hunt, you will have plenty to do. For bass, the closest to you is Silver Lake on Hwy 504 past Toutle. Then there is also, Horseshoe Lake in Woodland. Good luck.
