  1. I was able to fish with a buddies Powell Max rod on Saturday. It was a MH with a fast tip. It was very very light, and sensitive. I would seriously give Powell rods a look, when buying a new rod.
  2. That is why I ship everything UPS insured, and rods go in a PVC tube. Not bashing anyone mailing rods and such, but USPS Sucks at delivering packages, especially ones that are not normal size. As I post this, I am forwarding an email to one of my best friends, he is a big shot with the post office. Letting him know AGAIN, how badly they suck and why they lose business to UPS, FED X and others.
  3. Cool... Am checking the link out now. Thanks
  4. What if your video camera is a tape camera. How do you get it on the computer?????? Sorry, but am completely ignorant on how to accomplish this.
  5. Welcome Back AVID!!!!!! As with Muddy, you were sorely missed around here.

  8. I have a M Tourney Special and an Extreme MH..... both are gone as soon as I can afford the rods I want.. BPS rods are the beginning point for getting into Bass fishing. You will soon outgrow them if you progress in your fishing knowledge and experience. After having fished quality rods like powell, kistler, and such, BPS rods feel like I am fishing broomsticks. IMHO.
  9. No way that fish is going back in the lake... plain and simple for me.

  12. I have not fished it in several years since relocating to Georgia. However, I always had luck fishing the lilly pads, and then any and all brush..

  17. Man if you are driving all the way to Woodland, drive another 30 min. to Silver Lake. It is an awesome bass lake and has some pretty good bluegill/crappie too.
  18. I would say that the members here on BassResource.com also, since I just started bass fishing a couple of years ago... my fishing bug though was from my dad...

Welcome to your new home! This forum has more information than anywhere else. Use the search box, see if you can find what you are looking for, if not, then post a question, you will get tons of response.
  21. Nope, not at all. A lot of bream and crappie fishermen use jigs or other lures under floats. When I was Steelhead fishing back in the Pacific NW, we were using floats for jigs and such, to keep the bait/lure off the bottom.
  22. He will probably get a slap on the wrist and be driving again in a week or so..... Nothing will be done till he kills someone.... if then. Our laws concerning driving intoxicated are like pointing an unloaded gun at a charging elephant. Worthless, for the most part. It is sad really.
  23. Here Kitty, Kitty, kitty
  24. I smell a new attractant coming on...... maybe Starbucks will help with materials for development!! Just what we need.... Bass on a caffeine rush!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D Then getting irritable and a headache when they dont get the caffeine.... : :
  25. How would you compare them to other rods in the same price range?
