Okuma Big bait rods
The handle might be a little long for flipping with some of the rods, but I believe you could get away with heavy carolina rigging and other applications. Great rod for heavier stuff.

Brock Lesnar Fight
Like FBL said, "if" will be the key factor. If Lesnar can use his quickness and strength to his advantage, fight will end in the first two rounds. If it goes 3+, I gotta give the edge to Couture. He has too much experience in big fights. Lesnar is a freaking beast and amazing athlete, but being that big I cant see him having the cardio to go 5 hard rounds with Randy. He better fill that gas tank LOL This fight is gonna be awesome!!! Hope that doesnt jinx it LOL

New England ----> Kentucky wagon train?
Well, I will be going as well but as you know leaving from PA. When the website is up and people start committing, I will start looking for someone to ride with me. Russ, maybe on your way down we can link up and finish the last 10 hours or so together. Just depends on which way you are going...

How about this?
Seriously? There should be a requirement for everyone wanting to post something about themselves in this section. Something basic like... "You have the right to remain silent. Please think before posting!" I know you are one of the newer members, but man....Come on! Tear your test prototype smooth up? WTH is that anyway? ;D

Just ordered my new E21 carrot stix rod!
I have that exact same rod. If you are throwing swimbaits with it, you will definitely like it. 6" Huds, 3:16 Baby Wake and 9" Slammers have all been tossed on this rod, no issues whatsoever. Enjoy.

Fish Tails
Russ, have you ever considered a hard plastic or Lexan tail? Remember the 3:16 bait? Makes a "clacking" sound...just a suggestion. Still thinking about your soft tail issue...

Fish Tails
What do you want to be different about the tail? PM or call is fine...

It's a boy!!

Oil Prices Plunge!
You ever see one of those things up close? Very impressive in size. They just installed six of them on top of the mountain ridge where I grew up. Looks like they are building 2 more right now. A lot of people see them as an eye sore on the landscape. Do I think they are great looking? No. But you know what looks even worse? My electric bill after deregulation of area companies without some form of competitive, alternative energy.... I can put up with the wind turbines, no problem.

Lowrance LMS-522C now or save for a Humminbird Side Imager?
Yep. My unit is Bud's old one. I have a 16ft Tracker Jon w/ a 55lb Minn Kota on the back. Top speed w/ me and partner, full gear and three batteries is 3.3mph per the GPS on the unit. That is more than fast enough to use the SI unit. Wayne

whats your favorite rod and reel combo for hauling in the biggins!!!
Alpster custom 6'8" MH built on Shikari blank, spiral wrapped and a Revo S-L. Great stick for pitchin small to medium jigs. This year it has pulled duty with just about every bait I use, short of the big stuff.

Real Philly Cheese Steaks
The two famous cheese steak places are Geno's and Pat's. I have not had one from Pat's (yet)
-
Anything more relaxing than cleaning guns?
7.62 millimeter....Full...Metal....Jacket.... ;D

Real Philly Cheese Steaks
Dom, I gotta tell ya....I have had both, and while Geno's Steaks holds an edge with nostalgia, this Bocella's place is head and shoulders above it in the taste department. I do like the Cheez Wiz Geno's uses though. Mighty fine processed cheese product. Good Sheet

Real Philly Cheese Steaks
Whoever came up with the idea of thin sliced steak, onions and cheese put together on a roll should be king of the world. The lady I sit beside at my job goes to a dentist in Philadelphia. Each time she goes, she comes back with a cheesesteak for me. This time she brought me one from Bocella's and I gotta say....the thing is awesome in every sense of the word. I am not a big Philadelphia fan, but I gotta give them credit for this one LOL

What is a stick bait??
I have heard the term used a couple different ways. Could refer to a style of jerkbait (musky fishing), a senko type bait (Trick Stick has it right in the name) or a topwater like Skillet mentioned. I am sure regional terminology will differ some, but you have the idea.

My next bait! What do you think?
I think you guy under estimate the power of a MH 6'6" rod, I've caught snooks on 1 1/2 once jigs. I can try to make a video of me casting a 2oz sinker on that rod. Once again, I'll try! Look, if you come on here and ask a question then turn around and totally disregard the advice, people are going to quit answering your questions. If you already know so much, stop asking for input from EXPERIENCED members. You said you were going to change your ways and start acting differently? The only thing different is the fact that it doesnt say "Snapper G" in front of your posts. You were given two ears and only one mouth for a reason. Listen twice as much as you talk and you just might learn something. OUT. Wayne

Opinions on Lucky Craft Bull Fish
What about that Gan Craft? Seems like the back end is just a nub, not really a "tail"...
