Smallfry, I think doing this may help your original bluegill have a little more kick... Heat a pot of water (not boiling, but hot) and lower the bait up to the front fins in the water for about 30 seconds. Dont dunk the eyes in the water. Boiling the bait will soften the plastic some and also straighten it out if it is kinked. Typically, I will let the bait hang from the hook eye to cool. Hope that helps you a little....

I have a close friend that is a Cav scout in the PA National Guard STRYKER Brigade. He will be leaving for training in September and shipping out around the first of the year. As a small token, three of us went whitewater rafting in the Yough river in PA. Let me tell you....ITS A BLAST!!!! We are already looking to schedule another one before he leaves, this time doing it even bigger than before. We did class III and IV yesterday, looking to do a IV-V+ on the next one. Anyone else out there ever experienced the power of a river?

Glad to see that the equipment was put to use for a good cause. Muddy is a funny dude, no doubt. What most dont get to see is the heart of gold under the funny exterior. I also want to add JIMZEE to that list of people that came through with equipment!!!!

Mike, I dont own one but have been looking at them for quite a while. Matt from Mattlures recommends them, and I think that is a pretty good endorsement. I understand that there are better sticks out there, but for the price this line of rods is hard to beat. TW is probably your best resource for them, due to the free shipping.

Glendale is a nice lake, a little big for the 20hp restriction. Definitely some big fish in there, especially the musky. Canoe Creek has some absolute pigs in it, just gotta hit them right. The spawn there can be pretty amazing. Great place to bowfish for carp too!! River trips are a great way to get out of the heat. Most of my fishing has been done down around Mount Union and below the dam at Raystown.

Very humble in defeat, congratulated Forest, and said he got his butt whipped. A truely classy post fight interview and didnt make any excuses. Just said that he got beat. I never liked Rampage, but after his post fight interview, I have gained more respect for him. I liked Rampage before, found him very entertaining. After watching that post fight interview, I have even more respect for him. He surprised me with his reaction in a very good way.....big props to him. Chris Lytle is a BEAST (even in defeat)!!! If you can lose that much blood and still be swinging for the fences and intelligently defending yourself, ya either got some serious guts or some serious issues. Either way, as a fan I like it. Thats the first thing I thought when I saw the still shot the other day. We cant see You tube videos at work and I really thought he was bouncing the kid to someone to catch... While that would still not an intelligent or safe practice, I would have never thought he was just letting the child fall. With no regard for human safety on his part, should there be any regard for his safety in punishment? I think not.... :-X

I am not a rod builder, but Alpster did make one for me. I believe it has this reel seat on it (hopefully not mistaken Ronnie ) I love the feel of it and I am not....how should I put it.....small at all. It may be the fact of an uneducated hand on my part, but it feels perfectly comfortable to me. Not sure man, PM Ronnie maybe? LOL Obviously he will know what he used. Wayne

In all your expert opinions and experience , have any of you noticed that a certain brand of buzzbait doesnt seen to foul up with grass as much as other brands? I was using a Booyah Counter Strike last weekend and it seemed to not collect as much grass as a couple other buzzers. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks, Wayne
