  2. I've been going for 20 years now. Man I'm getting old I mainly go to see some old friends I only get to see once a year. Years ago you could get some good deals. Not so much any more. If you've never been there plan on spending the whole day. Its huge! Great place to book a fishing or hunting trip.

$400 sounds reasonable. Getting the club to vote on it will be tough. We had to cut 3 tournaments and come up with alternates. Here's another question...does a club need to be "incorparated" to buy insurance. I know where this may lead...filing taxes???

We are not a affiliated with either. I am having a hard time finding any other clubs that are not. Can anyone tell me if other states do the same.
  5. Here in PA our club has run into a problem. Pa State Parks are requiring that clubs carry liability insurance if you are using Park ramps for tournaments. We are being asked to fill out a "Special Activities Agreement". The Bureau of State parks are assuming NO responsibility for participants or spectators. So is there any other clubs out there that this is effecting?
  6. basser, all ready making plans to be there. looking forward to Todds seminar on jig fishing. Ish on bass boats ...ah not so much. I'll give you a call closer time.

  8. Believe it or not this was only good for second place. Still a great ending for the year.
  9. My partner and I ended the season on a big note! Its not often that we get to put a 4lber in the boat let alone two in the same day. 3 bites 3 fish and we made them count
  10. Sorry for the delayed response buster. Yes still taking new members. More than welcome to come to the next meeting. Our next club tourney is at raystown oct 4th and our last will be at pinchot the following weekend. Our next meeting will be Oct 5th. If youd like directions let me know and I'll pm you
  11. www.sfttackle.com Check these guys out. I couldnt find it on there site but I know they have them at their store. Call them and they will be able to send you what you need.
  12. Maybe you and me should go out for lunch sometime. Wonder if the boss would let me have a 3-4 hour lunch break ;D Nice fish
  13. I have also gone through the different brands of flouro. Trilene 100%, P-line, vanish and others. I have settled on one. Seaguar Invisx. I used this all of last year and loved it. I re-tie much less, because of abrasion. It seems so smooth and stays that way. After trying P-line and then vanish I didnt think anything would impress me enough to keep fishing flouro. Seagaur will be the only line on my baitcasters. I currently have the Carbon Pro spooled up and so far so good.
  14. There are other rods in the same price range that I'd spend my money on. I just got rid of one. Too heavy for me.
  15. Great fish!!!!!!! I'm jealous. Wish I could have those kinda lunch breaks ;D
  16. This was my fourth outing of the year. We were prefishing for our club tournament. Not a big one, but a good one
  17. Just down the road here in New Bloomfield. Your more than welcome to come to a meeting. 1st Monday of every month. All new members are voted in. So you would need to come to a meeting and introduce yourself.
  18. I think we would be interested. I would have to bring it up at the next meeting. Let me know when you have things together and we can discuss further.
  19. Cumberland Valley Bass Anglers is now starting into our second season. With our first successful season under our belt, we are looking to expand our membership. We are not affiliated with B.A.S.S. or any other pro circuit. We want to keep things VERY affordable. We have 8 scheduled tournaments for 2009. With the exception of the Potomac River and Raystown, all are local waters. We have 20 members and growing. Monthly meetings in the Carlisle area. If you have any questions please ask here or pm me.
  20. You know its a good day when you look in the bag and its hard to pick out which one is the 4lber!
  21. How did you do in your tournament?
  22. Can anyone tell me what the water will be like this weekend? We will be fishing Sat and Sun. Can I expect cold muddy water?

That was a pretty good spot. I think we got 3 out of that one small inlet. I should have landed a few more. Just a little too slow on the trigger :-[
