  1. Wow thats one hell or a day for those guys. Im praying for a day like that this year
  2. I also recommend this book. I read it about 4 months ago. There was actually so much information im reading it again for the second time, i bet i could read it 3-4 times or even more and learn something every time. -WM
  3. What you stated is true. The LC Sammys really do shine on "glass water" because if causes a lot of vibration and noise that bass can zone in on. Heres my guideline for fishing a sammy: 1.) Put some scent on your sammy (dont know if this works but it cant hurt) 2.)Throw your sammy out to desired location 3.) Let it sit as long as you can so the wake of sammy is no longer present 4) Give 3-4 sudden jerks of the rod tip to get the desired action than stop. 5) Look closely for swirls near your sammy to see if bass are present 6) start a retrieve with 3-4 twiches of the rod tip, let it sit than maybe 2 twiches, than 4-5... Fish your sammy with alternating retrieves, and find what the bass want Good Luck -WM
  4. X-RAP or LC pointer in every jerk bait situation, hands down. I swear by these lures.
  5. Any type of soft plastic could probably be used as a follow up bait, when thinking logically. If the bass was active enough to hit the buzzbait theres no reason why he shouldnt be aggressive enough to hit almost any slow moving soft plastic or jig.
  6. Welcome to the boards! There is a good bunch of guys here willing to stick there neck out for ya, and help you with almost anyhting. Ill see you on the boards!
  7. Paca Craws/Zoom Chunks/Yum Chunk/ etc etc...i like them all
  8. Why so few ? :-? Oh well, I think that answers the question : Raul one day when you realize you have way to much tackle and are willing to sell some, im asking you to please PM me first and wait for me to get back to you before you post. 8-) lol
  9. jfowl and falcon had good suggestions, so maybe ill give mine too. 1x Heddon Zara Spook 1x. Arbogast Jiterbug 1x Rebel Pop-R 2x Spinnberbaits 3/8oz 1/2oz 2x mans baby 1- 2xpacks Berkekley Powerbait Worms 7" Red Shad 2xpacks Gammy Hooks 2/0 or 3/0 offset shank 2xpacks Yum Dinger 1x Scum Frog 1x X-RAP XR10 2x Mepps Inline Spinner 1/4oz 3/8oz that should get you started on the right path....if you dont buy anything from my list just make sure you absolutely buy the jitterbug. This is one of my favorite baits to throw in early morning/evening. If you have a good body of water that holds some bass and you use this bait in the morning/evening its almost a garunteed caught bass. -WM
  10. 8-) Well my club has a rule this year that all fish in the the live well must have some kind of "juice" in it to keep the fish calm. They were talking about JungleJuice at the meeting which i never heard of before. What type of livewell additives do you guys use? Also, we each must have our own weigh in bags, which means i will have to purchase one. I checked out the ones on basspro a few minutes ago, but im open for suggestions on other brands. I would like to buy top quality wiegh in bags/additives. Thanks -WM
  11. Jt did you ever get a chance to use them clips? If so did you find they are durable and useful? thanks -wM
  12. If your putting the whole $100 into the rod i would say a St.Croix premier. I have one of theese and I am very satisfied with it, great sensitivity, ultra light and just point blank a good buy. I also own a BPS Extreme rod also, and again it is a good rod but I would def go with a St.Croix premier. -WM
  13. Welcome Keri Have fun on the Fork Trip. Ill see you on the boards! -WM
  14. Welcome my friend!
  15. JT what part of the lip do i insert the wire through and than clip it? A picture of a bass with a dot indicating where might be hep ful thanks -WM

  18. These lures have been very productive for me in the past. My favorite colors are RedCraw and Crawdad. Ive caught many bass wth theese 2 patterns in all diferent types of water clarity. -WM
  19. Hello everyone! Last year i fished my first 2 tournaments and had minor success because i was new to the whole thing. So this year i figured i would be catching more fish as i am fishing around 20-25 tournaments. I picked up some of the CUL-R-ROPE'S from texas tackle. My question is when putting the snap in the bass's mouth, what part do i put it on? Also do tournament fisherman weigh their fish, or just guesstimate which one is lighter and throw the lighter one out? Thanks guys -WM
  20. Dont the trick worms float too?
  21. he owned you lol
  22. Second best? What makes you think LC Pointers are the best? No one jerkbait is the best "jerkbait" IMHO LC Pointers are way to overrated. People hype them up to be some kind of super jerkbait. Rapala X-RAPS have given me better success. You can buy two of them for less than the price of 1 LC Pointer 2 X-RAPS > 1 LC Pointer
  23. Im voting LBH for biggest hawg, up north guys like us dont get to caught 7-8's on a weekly basis, for trophy fish we have to travel south for a while
  24. Welcome!
