  7. Ryan this is the one i have. It is a good fish finder, i have spotted fish on it and caught fish while using it many times.
  8. I know there are probably many eays to fish these. I purchased a bag today at dicks Is there an advantage to the straight tail as opposed to a curly tail on a powerworm/culprit etc? What is the most popular way to fish em? thanks -wm
  9. Lo-Vis green....although i may think about switching, after reading a book on the biology based on bass, they see green the best out of all colors, lo-vis green may look good to us but different to bass
  10. WEll today i am going to spool up my new shimano citica and had a feq questions On the spool there are holes in it , what are they for? When casting , do you guys make sidearm casts or overhead?...what should i practice? 11. Cast upstream and let your lure float down, this works really well with inline spinners, and soft plastics such as senkos, most of the time the bass wil be ambushing right behind a rock, and when your lure floats by, SET THE HOOK AND HOLD ON!!
  12. I actually think Arkansas , Georgia , And LSU would produce
  13. I have had great luck with the BAITMATE GAMEFISH SCENT...but i am also going to experiment with MegaStrike and a few others im not quite sure of yet
  14. Those fish are going to be transitioning for winter. Slow lures, very slow being said that. The fish mightve already moved to their deep haunts, i would go to the deepest part of the lake AS SOON as you hit the water and carefully watch your graph, if the fish are suspended or a few feet off the bottom in a lot of numbers, immediately swtich to a small jig/dropshot/ or spoon...if you dont find any on the grpah near the strcuture move up to shallower structure. thats just what i would do imho
  15. Ill be fishing a swimbait anyway russ ill have about 4 rods rigged with 4 different things
  16. Ok so tommorow going to a fairly small lake about 50 acres. Im going to be throwing some jerkbaits with a long slow pause The lake is Very Clear! 2-4 foot visibility! Tommorows forecast is mostly cloudly.we are getting on the lake around 8am air temp seems to be 52 degrees What colors for the jerkbait?...here are the colors i have Pointers: american shad, clear color with brown on it, metalic blue color X-Rap- yellow perch, hot steal, white/olive green, blackbac/ornage belly, also a pickrel pattern (im pretty sure the lake dosent hold any pick) Im probably also gonna slowly fish some jigs, and worms, what else do you guys suggest? i really wish i knew what the water temp was, but its benn fairly warm all week 8-) like lower to mid 60's thanks guys -WM
  17. I'm assuming the M/L outfit is spinning. You're on the right track getting a new rod for that. Is the 6'6" St. Croix with no reel a baitcaster? If it is that would make a good crankin rod. The 6'6" Shimano spin would be good for tubes, small worms, that sort of thing. You're on the right track with the 6'6" Extreme. You didn't say what action the 7'Quantum rod is. 6'6" MH no-brand rod could be used as a spinnerbait rod. Without knowing all the actions, the waters you fish it's hard to say what you need to round things out. Yess Cart i bought that 6"6 St.Croix premeir for Mostly cranking but some worming maybe also. The action on the 7"0 is Medium ..Lure Weight 1/8-1/2 I fish mostly small 100 acre lakes in South Jersey, Our biggest Southjersey lake is Union Lake maxing out at about 900 acres. This is where i will be starting most of my small club tourneys next year. Thaks w-m
  18. Great going pickerelpiney!!! Don't forget about the Big-W 9-lb 0 oz Green Pond, NJ (former world-record) 9-lb 3-oz Medford lakes, NJ (Jersey broke its own world-record) 9-lb 6-oz Guestmill Pond, GA (current world-record) Roger Ther woorld record pick i think is 9-6 Nj state record is 9-3
