  1. Powell makes excellent rods in that price range.
  2. Not always true. Sure if you're on a boat, you can cast any where, but if you on the bank and see a good spot on the other side of the canal/river, you need to cast far...
  3. https://imgur.com/ is the best for this..
  4. I've used white grease when assembly engines, on connecting rod bearings and main bearings for the initial startup. Has anyone ever used this grease in their reels?
  5. They're out of stock right now.
  6. Looking for the drive gear and pinion for this reel. Any other models that are compatible? I can't find any on ebay. Regards
  7. What handle is that? I might get one for my 5601 C4.
  8. Do you know that exact model number that you have?
  9. What year reel? What part number is it?
  10. Where the red arrow is. Twist that knob and it loosens the side plate. The side plate twists up.
  11. What about rod tip wrap?
  12. I recently broke my Kistler H3. I was just going to replace the tip, then I remembered about my warranty. I just bought the rod last April. So I called up TW and they told me to ship it back and they'd replace it for free because these rods carry a 3 year warranty. I asked if I could replace it with a different brand rod and they said yes. I ended up getting a Dobyns Champion XP Split Grip. I sent my broken rod off on a Monday and received my new rod yesterday afternoon. Great customer service.
  13. Try another line. I switched to Berkley Ultra 8 and haven't had a wind knot since. I was getting them with gliss and power pro.
  14. I'm looking for carbontex washers for my Pflueger President. PRESXTSP25X. I found some, but are the drag washers in my reel 0.5mm or 1.0mm?
  15. Apples to oranges. Zodias is a great rod.
  16. We ended up just trolling. We was doing good on black and silver, and sexy shad colors.
  17. That's not always the case, especially for those, like me, without a boat. So distance plays a big part trying to get into places afar off...
  18. That brand doesn't use a bolt for the handle assembly, from what I can see. Contact them on their website or maybe by facebook.
  19. I have some of these. TA recommended these ones. He has a good video about swivels.
  20. 1 question. I see some people saying that adding a snap/swivel will be just another possible failing point. Has any experience a snap swivel or swivel break? I never have.
  21. I had a guy at my local BPS tell me that their rods had a full replacement warranty. And if they came out with a newer version, to break mine and trade it in for the newer version lol. I was kinda shocked he would even mention that.
  22. I'd put it on the reel before I'd put it on a guide.
