  1. For spinning, it's not really UL, but my Lew's Team Gold and my casting, my Daiwa Steez SV TWS.
  2. Idk. I don't need that many rods. I have 4 that I use exclusively. 3 baitcasters and 1 spinning setup. And none of the rods cost more than 150.00. But I'm really happy with what I have.
  3. I'm looking to repaint my jig head. I'm not sure where to look. I've been checking out the threads in this section. Here is the picture of what I'm trying to repaint. I know it's powder coated, but just looking for a touchup pen or similar. Regards
  4. I spend a lot more on my baitcasters because that's what I'm using 99% of the time.
  5. I throw chatters on a 7:4 and it's easy to make them rise to the top. I'll try my 6:4 tomorrow.
  6. That's all i do, I'm not worried about being spooled for what I fish for. If I was fishing for larger fish, then maybe.
  7. I upgraded one of my reels with Bocas and didn't care for them that much. They were really loud and annoying sounding, even after oiling them. So I took them out and put the stock ones back in. I didn't notice too much improvement on my end.
  8. For me also. I use this and braid for some top water. I might look into some big game to replace braid.
  9. I've been using Yo Zuri Hybrid line the past couple of months and I'm impressed by it. I yanked a 3lb chunk out of some heavy weeds on 10lb line with no problems. And the best part is, it's very inexpensive.
  10. That I agree with. I have to turn the drag up a lot while reeling in fish.
  11. Well, that's your opinion. But far from the truth.. I run a Pro Mag and SD Wide Spool and have no complaints at all. They are great reels in my opinion.
  12. Thanks Kicker. I've never fished a DC before, but I have always been intrigued by it. I saw that the MGL 16 is out for less money than the DC by a lot. I saw that LakeForkGuy just got his and he's very happy with his MGL. This is the one that I will get then. Thanks again.
  13. I'm in a debate on a 15 Met DC HG or a 16 Met MGL HG? I can't decide between the two. Any advice?
  14. New Hawgtech on my Lew's..
  15. Yes, I have one. Been fishing it for a couple of weeks. It's the best reel that I own hands down. Very smooth, casts are really long, and it's a very lite reel. I might pick another one up soon.
  16. Plz post a Met DC for 350.00? I've never seen it that low. They usually run around 450.00.
  17. Spoons and Rapalas.
  18. Thanks fishnkamp for the info. Never trolled before and was just looking for some insight. I'll just being trolling for trout with line and weights. I have a old BPS Bionic blade 7' Med IM8 Rod and a Abu Garcia Ambassadeur C4. I've been doing some reading online also.
  19. Just using line and weights.
  20. Trout and such.
  21. Looking for a decent rod for trolling? What would you suggest? Some where around 150.00.
  22. My new Hawgtech Handle for my Steez..
  23. I think most of the negative talk about the TWS are from people that don't own one. The TWS doesn't give you more distance, but makes it easier to cast. You don't have to put a lot of effort into a cast to make a good one. But IMO, TWS isn't a bad concept...
  24. I have a Abu Garcia C4-5601. It's a very good and durable reel. What will you being using it for? I tried using it for casting swimbait lures, and it works fine for that.
  25. Looks like you got a steal! Post some pics!
