  1. How is it that we can't talk politics on here but you guys can sell political ad space?
  2. Husky Jerk followed by the Vision 110. How about the original Rapala Husky? Anyone still fishing those or are they just a collectors item now? I lost my last one five years ago.
  3. Looks sweet! How do you like it? Oh wait, I don't see the fine Tequila in the background. It must not be yours
  4. Yes, the Skeet Reese is the same way, but I am sure that it is modified on this one. Well this reel came out in 2000 which was well before the PT. I'd say that the PT looks too much like a Ryobi
  5. I have the casting version of that rod and use it for shakeys, grubs, ice jigs, and small cranks. My first trip out with it I caught a 10 lb blue cat on an ice jig. Of course it excels as a DS rod. IMHO the best one on the market. You'll love it. Soft tip but a ton of back bone for a ML rod.
  6. X2 If it had been a core/glx combo it would have been worth mentioning Let us know how the BG does today.
  7. Go to Kenny's Rod and Reel on Mountain and 9th in Upland. As for Kenny and ask him about the local clubs. Tell him Jared sent you.
  8. Of course I am. My baits never look that good. Hell, even the ones I haven't fished are marked just from being in tackle boxes.
  9. It's not the first floating buzzbait but it is neat.
  10. Hey Stringjam, do you ever fish your baits? Those all look so pretty, there's not a tooth or hook mark on them
  11. I hear you on that Jay. I used to be up until 2 or 3 the night before trips tying. I haven't been flyfishing in years and thought I had gotten rid of all the tying stuff. Seeing those pics makes me want to get back into it though. Sure beats the little wild guys we have in the creeks down here.
  12. I use the 16 a lot and have never had one break while cranking it into rocks and wood. Casting into the rocks is another story.
  13. Swimbait is too broad of a term to try to narrow it down and say what is and isn't. Everything from a 3.5" fish trap to a 10" AC Plug to a 12" Osprey are swimbaits. Hell people call a King Shad a swimbait and it is a jointed rip bait.
  14. Way to go man! I take it you are tying your own flys? If you are let me know because I just ran across a couple packs of Tiemco hooks from my fly tying days. I'll send them your way.
  15. ;D Maybe the will give the you panfish pricing. Now if you would have just stuck that fish that pulled your punker down by the tail we would have had a good pic.
  16. If you use it I would recomend using a mono leader like Jig man does. Braid is so limp that you end up catching the line with the hook more often.
  17. It better be good. They had a lot of making up to do after they subjected us to the D's.
  18. Yeah, a super spook. I have a few vixens and they work but I don't like them more than a 5" super spook.

I dig the full size Buzzjets and the Radscale. Haven't used any others.
  20. If you want to order it from the internet, yeah. It is another story if you want to buy it in person. I know, that is what I am saying. Reel Mech says that if Shimano wanted us to use it, then it would be in the Shimano box.
  21. So are you saying that we should only be using the lubes that come with the reels. I am seriously curious about this. Shiamano doesn't give me greese with my reels. My Sustain just came with a small bottle of oil. Is it just Hot Sauce you are against?
