  1. Complete bummer! My dad used to fly for UPS and said he used to see the handlers swing tubes like that against the tugs and he once saw two guys take a tube at each end and bend it around a pole.
  2. Skillet and I were just talking about this. I wish Bomber would bring back the patterns that Excalibur used to have on their Fat Free Shads, namely the Red Shad and Coppernose Bluegill. I have one of each left but I don't fish them as aggressively as I do my other cranks for the fear of lossing them. Other than that I would like to see some good old 80's/early 90's craw worms back on the market like the Riverside Big Claw or Mister Twister Fighting Craw.
  3. I can fit two 3700's, a Falcon Terminal Tackle Box, and plenty of worms in a plain old back pack. Before I go out I pack according to the time of year and body of water I am fishing and I am able to cover almost any situation with that amount of tackle.
  4. Congrats on the cold weather fish! Sorry to hear about the lost combo.
  5. ... and I just got one. The pic on the website doesn't even do it justice. They still have one left!
  6. I thought the same thing when I heard that on the radio.
  7. Depends on the jig. I like a straight one for flipping but I like EWG for football jigs because it helps the trailer stand up. But the EWGs have bent on big fish.
  8. What are you throwing them on now? I would get the 7'11" MH or H Okuma. The Loomis is a bit nicer if you have the money but you wont really catch any more bass because of it.
  9. Wow, I find that hard to believe. Risto Rap used to be one of my top producing cranks. The only reason I don't fish them any more is because I am scared to loose the few I have left. Kind of like my Coppernose Bluegill Fat Free Shad.
  10. No, I used to lie about how much stuff cost but then I told the truth one time and she didn't seem to mind at all. Problem is that I buy her better tackle than I buy myself, that must be why she doesn't mind
  11. This year I narrowed down my deep crank box to just DD22's, Fat Free Shads, and DT-16's and have had my best cranking year to date.
  12. Green Pumpkin full sized brush hog t-rigged. Day or night, clear water or muddy, it has been my favorite for the last eight years.
  13. Spittin image for numbers and the 2x4 for the big ones.
  14. I use them most of the time.
  15. Not cheap but the quality of the plastic used on this is WAY better than the Jannsnetcraft bait.
  16. That is why I gave up on them. Easiest walking frog I have ever used but they are so soft the hook gets stuck in the body every time I skip them. You should like that Cover Jack, I've caught some good fish on it but I don't use the skirt or the blade, just fish it without a trailer.
  17. I used to do good in Sebastian Inlet with Rebel Windcheaters and Saltwater Husky Jerks.
  18. I love bowfin. I rember spending a day fishing Florida Canals with my uncle and ending up with 7 spinnerbaits and 2 rat-l-traps that were just completly ruined by bowfin. What I really like about them is their willingness to crush a topwater in the middle of a summer day! Wish they had them out here.
  19. Thanks for the tips guys. Sam, thanks for your kind words. She is one hell of a girl. Spoke with her on Sunday and she qualified Epert Marksmen on the M-16. She had never fired a weapon before entering. I'll look into the USAA asap. Raul, I'd love to go to BPS but we have one 5 miles from the house here in California. But I am sure the one out there is much better. Here is a pic of the last fish she caught before she left. (Didn't weigh it but for reference, that is a 6" triple-trout in it's mouth)
  20. I dig Zeppelin and all but if I had to choose music from that era I would have to go with Sabbath
  21. My wife is graduating from Air Force basic training on the 5th so I will be flying out to spend the weekend with her. Other than the riverwalk, is there anything you guys/gals suggest to do out there. Any good restraunts? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
  22. My buddy had the insert pop out of his STX as well but he beats his stuff around pretty bad.
  23. The first one was sweet but you miss the best part!
  24. I can't believe there are only two votes for Mitch Hedberg! Not only is he hilarious, he is the only one with good fishing related jokes.
