  1. One hell of a fish!!! Congrats.
  2. 55 fish? Nice!!! What pond was this? My wife went out to Hefner on Saturday but it was so windy that she said she couldn't do much.
  3. Nice fish! Didn't know such places existed.
  4. Looks like you found a nice sheltered area. Good looking fish.
  5. I would say the 6'9" ML or 6'8" M St. Croix Avid or legend tournament. They are both great rods, just depends on how light you go with your drop shotting.
  6. I'm right up the street from you and I am waiting for the rain to come back. I like not having to deal with other people on the water.
  7. Spool up with some fluorocarbon and drop shot a Morning Dawn Robo. You'll catch fish. Maybe not the biggest but you'll get some.
  8. $100 off GLX rods? Those prices seems just a little too good to be true. But I hope it is.
  9. I currently use a St. Croix AVC68MXF The faster tip means that I have to keep the drag a little on the lose side but I feel I have more control over the bait. I like to use 10-12lb fluorocarbon.

Jerkbaits are my confidence bait and these are my most productive in this order. 1)HJ-10 Husky Jerk 2)Vision 110 3)Pointer 100 4)X-Rap
  11. Let me know if Quantum, Daiwa, or Shimano will do that for you.
  12. I like RW's thinking on this one!
  13. I have two, a 7ft H mag bass and a Byron Velvick heavy swimbait rod. Love them both. They are both light and very strong but I would have rated the 7ft H a MH. They don't have the X-Fast action of a Loomis but it doesn't need it. They are very sensitive. The only gripe I have and the reason I don't own any more is that they stopped using fuji components. But being that you are just buying the blank, I think you will be more than happy.
  14. Looks good for sure.
  15. I heard there was this guy Jay who takes people out for a $1000 a day. But he guarantees you a ten pound fish! Problem is you get out there and he sets you up with a dough ball and you catch carp all day long ;D
  16. My favorite by far. Free shipping on rods! How cool is that?
  17. They work pretty good in shallow situations like you are describing. I always have one in my box and there are times when a floating jerkbait will outperform a suspending one. I've also had luck twitching them on the surface. $3.97 is a good price but I wouldn't "stock up" on them. Wait to see you you really like the bait first.
  18. I've had that happen many times with Terminators. The loop at the end of the wire wasn't closed and the blade and swivel just went flying. I do love the custom tungsten series though! The clown and western sizzle are great!!!
  19. Hard to chose between Revenge and War Eagle but I had to go with Revenge.
  20. Maybe, maybe not. My Swedish made Morrum Ultra Mags had those handle knobs well before the Revos were out. Let's hope that for that much coin they will be made in Sweden.
  21. I've had good luck with them in current and when fish are chasing bait. Use a tiny fluke on the smaller sizes and a Fin-S Fish or super fluke on the larger ones.
