Go to wal-mart and get the tennis racket wraps like you mentioned. My buddy uses those on all his rods.

1/8-1/2 oz or so. It will vary a lot from manufacture to manufacture. And that doesn't mean that you will be able to set the hook with a 1/2 oz jig or spinnerbait, but you will be OK with a 1/2 oz rattle trap.

The last few Megadeth albums have had some true gems on them but there were a number of songs that I would skip past because they just were not any good. Well when Metallica released their latest I knew that Megadeth was going to have to really get to work and they did. First time I listened to it I was stuck on Dave's lyrics which have been lame for the most part, but the second time around I cranked it up and just listened to the music and really got into it. Anybody else pick it up last week?

The last two weeks I've been catching a lot of spots from just before sunrise until 8-9. Don't know if it has been any good after that as I've been leaving once the topwater bite was over.

I may be wrong but I don't think you can buy replacement parts for JDM reels in the US. At that that is how it has been for me with my JDM Morrums.

Just so you know, hook companies make a lot of custom hooks for tackle manufactures that they don't sell to the public.
