Sides look a little flat but pretty darn close. Good job!
  2. Neither is poking out out a bass' eye when a spinnerbait hook comes up through the roof of it's mouth but that doesn't keep us from fishing. Most of the culling buoys I've used poke another hole in the lip of a bass. I've had jigs and spinnerbaits rip bigger holes in the lips of bass than that scale would cause. That being said, I would go with a gripper type just for the ease of use, not because I am worried about the bass. Plus, electronic scales are known for being unreliable and to go with an unknown cheep one you find on Ebay will just give you misleading readings.
  3. It's close but the billboard read "Megadeth riffage, Metallica brutality, and Guns N' Roses melodicism". Any band that really filled that bill would be EPIC! Black Tide is good but not that good.
  4. Check out Black Tide. They aren't the mix of Megadeth, Metallica, and Guns and Roses that the billboard on the side of the Roxy promised them to be but they are good.
  5. The little winky face tells me we was joking. Just a little sarcasm.
  6. Of course it is a stupid comment to make and you are right, an 8 year old should not be playing. However, most "adults" that play these games and have kids, do not lock the games away. It is possible that kids could get to them when mom and dad are away. To the reporter it would be like having "Debbie Does Dallas" sitting right in the middle of the DVD stand. Of course an 8 year old boy shouldn't be watching that but he will if he has access to it. Everyone has their own view on things like this and I'm not trying to say I am on one side or the other. I was playing GTA last night which is a horrible game, but I am old enough to know the difference between right and wrong, an 8 year old doesn't.
  7. Well 5 bass, what did you pick? Like any of it?
  8. If only it was on the computer, I would have a new avatar for you guys.
  9. By the way, nice job at only quoting what you wanted to quote. The actual quoted ended in "... on a video game." Yeah there was a pause in the sentence but he did clarify himself. You are no better than Fox in the way you report things. I'm not a Fox fan, but then again I'm not a big fan of any news broadcasting companies because there is a slant in almost all reporting.
  10. It's every news channel, not just Fox.
  11. Down in S. California they called it "Lakers Special" ;D
  12. It has been my experience that M-F makes the best coloring. http://www.fishingworld.com/M-F-Manufacturing/Details.tmpl?ID=981864644186071&Cart=125811869735705565&SKU=1oz
  13. Great looking baits. What you need to get is a hound dog. I don't deep crank without one.
  14. Yeah I just moved to this area my self and I was very disappointed with the few tackle shops I was able to find in the area... until I found this one.
  15. Any kind of change in the underwater environment will attract fish at one time or another. Seawalls provide shade, current breaks, and habitat for crayfish, sculpins, and other forms of bait.
  16. Congratulations!!!!!
  17. Thanks, I like the price of that oil and lube and would like to give it a shot.
  18. When those first came out many years ago, before everyone got all wussy about how much their reels weighed, they were very popular among the bass fisherman in California. It is a fantastic reel and will last a lifetime if you keep it clean.
  19. I normally use the 2 part epoxy like reel mech said but I also used Gorilla Glue for cork rings and a reel seat and it worked great. Just have to clean up the expanded glue.
  20. Does that lube void the warranty on Shimano products?
  21. Yeah, it's nice to see a band that sounds like that but still has a sense of humor.
  22. That is great. I hear a lot of people complain about those but they look like they would be fun to catch. I guess it is just all the lost baits that gets annoying.
  23. Just want you guys (and gals) that are in the OKC area know that there is a great new bass tackle shop on Briton and May, just east of the restaurants at Heffner. It is called Lucky Lure Tackle. I just found it tonight and the owner is a great guy. They opened ten days ago it is a great alternative to BPS and Academy.
