  1. My favorite is a 3/8 oz Skinny Bear Signature Pro Series Jig with a smallie beaver trailer. Just about any jig with an arkie head will work and I prefer a beaver trailer because it gives you a nice flat surface.
  2. When San V was up I used to catch bass back in the sticks on weightless 10" worms which is pretty much a snake. Same with the north end of El Cap.
  3. I used to have this shirt.
  4. I can't believe that, Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout is one of my favorites after these these. 1) Mackeson's Triple Stout 2) Duck-rabbit Porter 3) Sam Adams Winter Lager

    I'm impressed
  6. When it came out it was not a new color at all. It was just clever marketing that made the masses think it was.
  7. Yeah it looks like a bunch of stores got them in. There is a local shop here that just got a big shipment as well.
  8. I didn't care for it at first because I tried to work it the same way I would a Skitter Prop. It seemed that no matter how stiff the mono was that I used, the front prop would always catch the line. I had the chance to meet Kelly Jordan and ask him about it. He informed me that the bait was intended to be pulled a foot or more, not twitched. Since I adapted that style I have managed to catch a few on it. I'll have to wait until spring to get a better feel for it.
  9. Too cool for words. I'd love to be able to take my dad on a trip like that!
  10. I am a huge fan of the Daiwa TD-S Cranking Stick.
  11. Sorry you had that happen. Sounds like a heck of bad day. On the other hand, I would hate to hear the horror stories of all the bad non boaters mistreating and breaking things on their boater's boat.
  12. Very nice fish! Catching it on medium light spinning gear makes it that much more fun. Good job!
  13. Freaking Sweet!!!!
  14. Straight from the horse's mouth.
  15. I have freshwater rods that I've fished inshore for 10+ years and never had a problem. Like what was already mentioned, rinse after EVERY trip. Same goes for saltwater inshore rods. Most of the "inshore" series of rods have the same components as regular freshwater rods. Some of the higher end models will use titanium frames but most don't. What you really need to pay close attention to is your reel.
  16. I fully understand that. I just love that rod and would own more but when I was upgrading my arsenal to what it is today, Fenwick was putting those stainless guides on the Technas which I didn't care for.
  17. That one is flying high over my head. They've been playing it on Air1. It's not bad at all. They are really fun to watch live. That chick has some energy.

Ever since they didn't show up to that Superbowl it has been a sad sight.
  19. I thought it took me a long time as well. I used to want to chime in on everything but not so much anymore. Now I just try to stay quiet if I don't have anything to add to the conversation... keyword is try LOL.
  20. Nice kitty. Let her eat all the bass she wants, that reduces the competition for the big ones in that pond.
  21. I like it as a song to go to sleep to, but I wouldn't want to listen to it again during daylight hours. If they ever played that at a concert I'd be ticked!
  22. I haven't used any of the newer ones but I have one that is about eight years old that I like more than my GLX. It isn't as stiff but it is just as light in the hand and almost as sensitive. Just because you didn't pay much for it doesn't mean you need to sell it short by putting a mid grade reel on it. That rod will compliment the best reel any of the manufactures have to offer.
  23. I second WRB's soft jerkbait suggestion and stay as far away from them as you can. Good luck
