  1. What Falcon said.
  2. The Chatterbait is just like the Eaker Shaker with a jig head already attached, you can use it on anything.
  3. The Swimming senko? It doesn't deserve any press if you ask me. It reminds me of Taco Bell. They just use the same stuff in different combinations to create new things.
  4. All of my big bait fish have come by either dead sticking or waking the bait just off the shore. I have never caught one doing the ol' chuck and reel. But a lot of people do.
  5. It is a great bait. I perfer the 5" super spook but I still throw the 120 Sammy from time to time.
  6. The Sabre Frog. Just what I always wanted, a $35 dollar Jitterbug.

A while back (well six years or more) they sold some Pradco baits packaged as "Mystic" with high gloss finishes. The spooks that came in that line of baits came with split rings on the hangers and rotating trebles. They worked just fine for me.
  8. What is the fun of drop shotting if you aren't untangling the weight each time you pick up your rod?
  9. I have never played the X-Box version of BPS Trophy Bass but if it is anything like the PC version, it sucks balls! They totally ruined a great fishing game. They tried too hard to make it look "realistic" and it just looks stupid. I don't want to see a the stiff, akward looking angler with the stupid looking rod, try to bend down and grab each fish I catch. I just want to get the fish to the boat, see what it is and what it weighs, and be on with the game.
  10. I have never fished the new Citica but my Girlfriend has a 153 Advantage and loves it. She has it on a 7ft H All Star T-Series and uses it to plug for stipers and throw 4-5" swimbaits for Sand Bass, Halibut, Cuda, etc...
  11. I have been a fan of indiana blades ever since I bought my first Mann's Classic spinnerbait in the early 90's. It is still one of my favorites.
  12. I am a bigger fan of the Husky Jerk. I like the X-Rap and it casts better but like RW said, the Husky Jerk gets the bigger bites.
  13. I rarely peg but that has a lot to do with the fact that I almost always have a glass bead between my weight and my worm. I also tend to lose my rig less if I don't peg. It seems that the weight floppinng around helps free the hook.
  14. There was a Bassmaster article about this three years ago. It talked about using a dropshot, followed by a jig, with a worm trailing the jig. My buddy tried it. He said it was a pain to cast and more trouble than it was worth. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't work for you.
  15. As long as the guy (or girl) up front is competent I would rather be in the back. It is great when all you have to think about it fishing. Especially on a day like yesterday when my partner and I were worming in 10-25ft of water with 25-35 mph winds that were gusting up to 50. When I was up front he caught more fish and vice versa.
  16. I use a 6'6" med Compre with a morrum 1600 spooled with 10lb Izor XXX for jerk baits.
  17. I use a Lew's Speed spool 5 to1 on a 7ft TD-S crankbait rod. I use 10lb Cuda line when I am fun/pre fishing and 15lb when I am fishing for money. I'm suprised that no one else posted that they use a Speed Spool. I know I'm not the only old school cranker on here.
  18. I would leave them. It has been my experience that the rotating hooks work just fine.
  19. Don't knock the flying lure too much. I used to slay fish with the 2" black and silver one. As far as the Dancin' Eel goes, I think it went away the first time for a reason.

1/2oz Rattle Trap in Smokey Joe 1/4oz Rattle Trap in Baby Bass
  21. It is simple. You don't need to tighten the drag much more than it is normally set. Just apply some pressure on the spool with your thumb, turn the handle a half to a full turn, then put it in free spool and strip out the line. This method works in most cases and it is a God send when night fishing.
  22. I like the show a lot. You get to see a different side of the anglers. Some guys just go out there and have fun with it and then there are some that seem like they don't know how to have fun. I didn't see the Swindle/Clausen episode so I don't know what that is about.
  23. Rest assured, you start paying attention to fishing once you notice how they are kicking your butt.
  24. Pumpkinseed colored Spittin Image is my favorite topwater plug. Spotremover colored Wareagle is my favorite buzzbait.
