Research Paper: Consequences of Catch and Release... Help!
It's obvious that you haven't bothered to read the many articles that are published on this site. OK, I'll do some of your homework for you. http://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/harvest.html

Susan Boyle
DD, unless you are some sort of musical virtuoso, I would suggest that your opinion is just that - your opinion. Do not denigrate a beautiful voice just because she does not look, scream, stomp and gyrate like a rock star. That's my opinion of your opinion.

Susan Boyle
The surprise of the decade! I first learned about her on Brian Williams' evening news, and followed the link to You-Tube. What a voice! Sony has already tried to sign her to a recording contract and Oprah wants her to appear on her show. A dowdy spinster becomes a Cosmic Megastar almost overnight.

Hummingbird 525 help
Many depth finders can't cope with very shallow water and tend to lock up. When I'm in very shallow water my Lowrance units will give me insane information, e.g. 2000 feet. The solution is to take the boat back into deeper water, say ten feet. The unit will then correct itself.

Let's Talk Roadbeds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always use a map or satellite imagery to locate a roadbed. I then try to center the boat on the roadbed and then cast to either side into the ditches.

Lowrance cabling connectors -
Paul, if you have only two connectors on the back or your unit, one is for the transducer and the other is for 12V power. If there are three, then the third is for the NMEA3000 network. Go to www.lowrance.com for more information. Lowrance has great tutorials on their site.

Deadliest Catch
Well, wouldn't you know it. I've been looking forward to the season premier for weeks. Then, just as the show comes on, Ghoti decides to call me. I missed all but the last five minutes. Luckily, I had the foresight to record it.

Maximus, has it occurred to you that I takes you about three times longer to "redneck" your posts than to use proper grammar and punctuation?

4th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
I don't know where to begin. I have so many pleasant memories of the trip. First and foremost, I want to thank CJ, Bud, Greg (R520dvx) and his lovely wife Debbie for going WAY out of their way to make sure our trip was a success. On behalf of all of the attendees, I am expressing our many thanks for all of your hard work and personal sacrifice. Secondly, I want to thank Alpster for all the hard work he did getting everything organized. Ronnie, you made my job as fill-in Coordinator a piece of cake. Basically, all I had to do was take care of some miscellaneous BS and then stand around, look pretty, and take all the credit. To Speedbead and Roadwarrior: Your culinary arts are unsurpassed by even the finest Parisian chefs. But then, a hungry fisherman, fresh off the water, will eat boiled wallpaper if you tell him it's cabbage. ;D Lest I forget, Jeff's black-pot cobbler and Deb's cake were both outstanding. To the sponsors: Your generosity was incredible. Not only did the attendees take home a bag full of goodies, you enabled CAST for Kids to add a substantial amount to their dwindling coffers. To the speakers; JJ, Bob Lusk, and Big-O. Thank you all for very enjoyable and informative presentations. Also, I want to thank you attendees for so generously donating to help the chefs and supporting personnel to recover their costs for the Monday and Tuesday dinners. A few of the folks declined any reimbursement and insisted that the money be donated. I am very pleased to announce that of the $570 donated, $420 went to CAST. To those of you who fished with me on my boat, I'm sorry that we didn't catch as many fish as others did, but then, I'm kinda new to Bass fishing, so I would ask for your forbearance. To Burley: I hate to ruin your reputation, but you are one hell-oanother siteice guy. As with all of the Road Trips, I was able to visit with old friends and to make new ones. It doesn't get any better than that. Can't wait for next year!

Made it home safely after a nine hour drive. I had a ball, but I'm too tired to start talking about the trip. Later.

IMO, the only way GM will survive in the long term is to file Chapter 11.

Burley, should I be wearing a cup when we go out on Wednesday? Never thought I would need it when fishing. ;D

4th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
Personally, I fail to see why anyone should be concerned about the weather. sure, it may be chilly for a day or two, and a bit windy, but there plenty of areas to fish on the West side of the lake and plenty of boat launches to go with them. There should be no reason for anyone to drop out of the trip because of the weather.
