  1. Gotta give a big shoutout to Mike @Siebert Outdoors for these awesome custom jigs. I sent him a picture of what I wanted and he delivered. If you haven't already you really need to check out his stuff. Thanks again Mike!
  2. I also like the boomerang, but ill never give up my rapala scissors
  3. First of all I'm sorry for the situation. Both of those are good lakes. I would have to add Toledo bend and being this is possibly a last trip I would have to suggest mexico if it could be done. Since that would be a truly great trip. Either way good luck and I wish you both the trip of a lifetime.
  4. Lake Seminole in north Florida Lake Eufaula in south Alabama, search for lake point state park or baby state park
  5. Idk about there strands but a standard jig is 55 strands and that normally equals 2 and a half strips. It should tell you on the site how many strands per strip.
  6. 7 years national guard
  7. Peanut butter crackers, Vienna sausages and Gatorade. I'm normally off the water by around 3 and stop to get a chilli dog by the lake
  8. I love these rods. Wasn't long ago I bought 2 MH from Walmart for 34.99. They were listed as that at regular price for some reason no sale. Bass pro sells em for $50. Either way can't beat that and $9 is a steal
  9. That sucks. He's a favorite of mine
  10. I have not seen him yet either, idk who he is but I haven't seen him. I too wondered why there were only 5 anglers in this last round. It says there are 24 select anglers and 6 per round. I can only guess someone dropped out
  11. I've never figured this out, although I haven't spent a ton of time trying. I just feel trying to learn how to skip with a baitcaster is a waste of time since it is much easier to use a spinning reel. All of my gear are tools. I use the tool that makes me work less. I love my baitcaster but not for skipping. But if it works for you then more power to you.
  12. Sounds like bad batteries. They might charge but won't hold that charge. I would pull them out charge them individually for 24hrs and then remove for 24hrs and then check voltage of each one. It would also be good to load test them if possible
  13. My wife always call me when their biting good
  14. If there really feeding I'm fishing topwater as long ad I can. Whether its a frog, walker, buzzbait, popper or prop bait. Why? CUZ ITS FUN!!!
  15. I really like the one on the far right and the far left. The middle/right one looks pretty dang good too. These might be highly pressured tho
  16. You've got 3 or 4 really good points with creek channel and deep water nearby. I would throw just about anything in my tackle box on them. Depending on depth, water clarity and vegetation/cover
  17. @A-Jay yes I'm aware of that. Throwing the DD22 is basically like fighting a fish all the way to the boat. I don't tend to throw these for long periods unless they are really biting them. I will say that I'm probably not using the best equipment for deep divers as well but what I have works BTW in your picture you saying the very top bait is a 10xd? If so then the 2 below it are HUGE! I hope they are just as he says. Thanks for that video @scaleface
  18. Nothing wrong with any of that. Ill swim a jig anytime tho as long as their biting it.
  19. I've never been able to get my DD22 to 20'. This could be my fault not getting a long enough cast or something
  20. I was confusing the trilene knot with the old cinch knot
  21. My favorite is fall but basically anytime the bass are chasing shad schools
  22. My minds already on summer ledges for some reason and im curious what others use for deep diving crankbaits. I'm classifying deep as 20' and up. Also please specify the line you use. I noticed berkley has a newish diver called the Dredger, it supposedly reaches 26'. Any use this one?
  23. I agree it is not as fun but I would still fish just not as often. probably save a butt load of money too
  24. because the pros haven't told me to throw that color yet. seriously tho people throw what is popular. I have several custom jigs to match my local crawfish. I use plenty of black but normally go for orange instead of red as my craws(depending on time of year) are normally more orange. I have no doubt I could catch a bass on a black/red jig, of course I could say that about almost any dark color
