Sounded like a good deal. Of course I return to where I caught em before but I agree that's not the best approach but I do believe that finding the right spot can sometimes be more rewarding than finding the pattern but those two can interchange, like the best spot could be within a pattern. I don't think I ever find the pattern within the first hour unless I got lucky, still working on being more efficient but I don't tourney fish yet either.

I've done one casting deck on a aluminum boat and replaced the floor in 2 fiberglass boats. The 2 floors just got glassed. The aluminum deck I sealed with a stain/seal from home depot. Did about 3 coats on all sides and then installed on boat and carpeted last. I owned it for 5 years and sold it to a friend. Its still as strong as new.

Depends on how you brace it. The type depends on the type of boat. Never use pressure treated on an aluminum boat. I don't like wasting money on marine grade. I just buy regular and seal myself.

First of all Go Gators!! I don't think its a bad idea but agree it may be called to often. Seems the reaction of most depends on if its there team its called against. But I suppose that's normal

Also wanted to add that if you did decide not to use fogging oil and just use regular, I would do it more than once depending on how long it sets up.

normally sta-bil brand. I will never pretend I know everything but if this is true I would like to know the why's. I will say that I am a diesel mechanic and cant see how fogging would do any harm to any engine that is going to be stored. I know people who use it for many applications. I have only had the need for it for my boats and lawn mowers. If you do find any info that it should not be used please share

Another vote for Palomar knot but for some of the mono rigs and treble baits I have started experimenting with the fishnfool knot. It seems to work pretty well and is suppose to be one of the strongest.

8 times all commercial, half of them also back and forth from military training. The last flight was to Maryland and it was the first time with any real turbulence. Not cool at all

agreed. This is what I do. Fogging oil is made to coat the cylinder walls and hold there. It also has better anti corrosion properties than regular oil.

Although i have switched to braid for most other techniques. I only use mono for topwater baits. Which for me really only consists of walkers, poppers and some prop baits. I'm not including frogs in this since that's a little different

Don't want to hijack but this question applies to your topic For a general answer without getting too technical, wouldn't you grease all gears and lube all bearings? Would mineral spirits work well to clean everything?

I use original mega strike and I can't taste a thing haha I mainly use it for texture. I even rub some on my jerkbaits when the fish get real picky. I think it gives the bait a fish slime look

I'm no expert but in order to walk the dog you must have some slack in the line in order for it to walk correctly. Its a rhythm thing. You jerk with slack then turn reel to pull tight this makes it walk back and forth. Favorite in fall is a spook

I mainly fish 2 places. The Chattahoochee river and lake Eufaula. 95% of jigs I throw in the river are 1/4 oz and in the lake its about 50/50 between 1/4 and 1/2 ounce. I have some 3/8 but I could do without them if need be. Have several colors as well but mainly throw a black/blue and a green pumpkin/red

I read somewhere about a crappie guide who caught alot of bass and crappie jigging brush piles and he would take a file and dull the treble hook points some. This way they wouldn't dig into the wood near as much and he could wiggle them free. He also used the heavier spoons. He claimed it had no effect on hooking the fish and that it actually helped them stay hooked since the dull tip wouldn't rip the lips up as much. Its worth a shot

Does this lake only allow night fishing certain days of the year?

I agree in that you should be very specific in what you want. Whether its to learn the lake, electronics tips, or just to catch as many as possible
