One morning while it was still dark, I observed a green globe of light just on the edge of the bank slowly floating/moving in between and around trees. I kept looking around to see if light was bouncing off from somewhere, but could not find a source. I guess you could describe it as a willowisp. Weirdest thing I have ever witnessed.

As bad as the fishing seems to be, I am actually nervous watching the Toro cut line as we come down to the last hour and a half. Sooooo close and so much could change with just one or two more scorable fish.

I mainly use DT-6 and DT-10's in shad patterns. The whole red thing just doesn't seem to work as well to me. I also fish Rapala Brat's and Strike King 1.5 Squarebills. Looking forward to trying out my new Slim OG-6 baits I picked up a few weeks ago.

I had to count Wheeler out just due to the fact my buddy has him picked ?

My buddy and I always have side bets on BASS and MLF. This tourney I had Thrift and Defoe. He had Wheeler and MDJ. I am looking good so far. ? The one guy that keeps flying under the radar it seems is Mark Davis. I look for him, David Dudley, Andy Morgan, Andy Montgomery and Zack Birge to advance today.

Gotta remember also, that they had a change of venue, only one day of practice etc. Hopefully the next 3 days are more worthy of what some expectations are.

Looks like the lake is fishing tough, although MLF reported Day 1 this year was better then last year. All the guys on the top are definitely just idling around looking for new spots. I heard a few yesterday make the comment of not burning out their fish in a day. Makes alot of sense with $300,000 on the line.

Anything with a paddle tail. Have used alone, or as a jig or spinnerbait trailer. Nada zero zippo. Don't know what it is, but it sure looks purty swimming thru the water, just not appetizing for the fish.

Great thread A-Jay! For me it's a constant obsession that I really have a hard time of getting on the water because of work and family, as much as I would like. However there is absolutely no doubt I am in that hunt stage. And not necessarily the bass, but where is that bass living at and why is what I am far more obsessed with these days.

Just snagged a KVD 100H baitcasting reel for only 25 bucks at Rural King. Not bad for a reel that has 16 lbs of drag and a few years ago was going for 79.

Feel sorry for everyone involved in this change. That's a 700 mile swing! Kinda surprised they have not moved it back at least one more day.

You could call Laker Fishing. They are out of Camdenton MO. It's basically an Eagle Claw warehouse/distribution center. I deliver there from time to time and I am always curious what's on the truck.
