  1. Me too. Wish I went.
  2. Thanks guys!!! I'm going to celebrate tonight. Al
  3. Dude. Nobody is giving you static at the golf courses? I get heat all the time. Great fish. I'm going to have to schedule an appointment to fish with you!!! ;D Al
  4. Yup thats it. It still works great, that and a their melon lizards. I've never gotten a hit there on a rattle or crankbait. I bet those fish have seen two million different types. Lots of pressure. I am so stoked about this. Not like it means anything but it does to me!! ;D ;D I just wish the prize would have been a convertible vette and not a piece of paper!!! ;D I still haven't told my saltwater fishing buddies. I was going to mass email everybody the scans of the award and letter but I haven't had time lately. I will be drinking free beer next time out!!! They made fun of me last time saying, "You gonna get one of them tracker boats and an RV aren't you?" I didn't want to admit the thought had actually crossed my mind, once or twice. : Al
  5. I just got my first official WIN today!!!!! (If you could only see my smile) I entered the local FWC Urban Angler Tourny for S FL a while back. I got the results today. I won in the category of Big Largemouth Bass . Got me a letter from the State and everything ;D. The photo I sent in was the one of my PB, which I caught during the date requirements last year. The very same fish I thanked everyone here for back in NOV/06. When I knew JACK about bass fishin. I didn't want to repost the pics so I'll just put up the link. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1163274627 I am so thankful to each and every one of you guys. Y'all make this place great. I can now say I have one in the win column!!! All thanks to everyone at BassResource.com Glenn, a special thanks goes out to you for runnin' a great board.
  6. That is a great fish. It must have shook the smack out of your xrap. We are gonna have to let you run the next FL Boys get together / Peacock hunt. Al
  7. Wow, what a belly!!! Thats a great fish bro.
  8. Dude!!! Nice fish and quick too. Looks like your in the swamp for sure!!!
  9. Dude! That is a HUGE fish!!! Nice job. Al
  10. I'd add, keep the spooled line tight. Once you get it all spooled up and go out casting, it's going to get mushy on you. Every now and again, let the line out and respool it tight. Takes a minute and the line won't dig in as much.
  11. Nice fish!!!
  12. Very nice fish!!! Great photo too.

This is so true. I realized this after I nailed my PB. The spot had a huge rock right there. It showed after the water level got low.
  14. Four more set ups huh? Seems the monkey has you in a full nelson. ;D
  15. Basspro Extreme rod when it goes on sale. $70. I have 3. They catch me fish and I'm on a budget.
  16. Isn't a C-rigged lizard a search bait? I mean, if the leader is long enough. It works for me. I only bring this up because I couldn't catch a bass with hard bait even if you put it inside a live Bluegill. ;D Al
  17. I bet ya a box o' krispy kreams, the dude that wrote that there article, did a little research on this here board. ;D Those are the exact names that have been floating around here quite a bit in the last 9 months to a year. -Disclaimer- The box of doughnuts comment was just a figure of speech.
  18. This is a cool thread. I like it so much I'm going to attempt to finally learn the jig. I've only caught a couple on a weightless beavers, but that ain't the same. I only catch them on weightless soft plastics anyways >
  19. I think it's fluorocarbon line.
  20. Couldn't open the box...Where is Red Forman when you need a "DumbBass?"!!!! The reel is great. It's like a chronarch but less pretty and more plastic. I have both. Couldn't open the box.... I bet you one of their employees post here....and saw your post....and he is trying to get all up in your curado. ;D Get me one if they have more. I'll pay for shipping.
