  1. Yeah baby!!! Now go get me a bigger one! Al
  2. ;D It wouldn't have gone to waste. The crawfish would have had their revenge in the end. ;D

and take your time. It took me a while before I got dialed in. Al
  4. Dude, I would have never, ever, ever fished this place. I got so lucky. My last spot got wrecked. Lots of people fishing "Rooster Tails" and "Husky Jerks" just leaving all their stuff behind. I get my fishing in on the weekdays because the weekends belong to the wife and kid. ;D That is why I can't hang with y'all on Saturday.
  5. Thank you Jason aka Westpalmdude for giving me the vision to fish new and uncharted waters. I found this new lake today and this is what I got. You can see the * 5" stick in my color with that red hook that ain't supposed to catch fish. ;D I stopped some people to have them take the pics. If they only knew I didn't live there! That's it. I'm going to quit my job and go pro. ;D ;D ;D The reason I edited the pic is because my last spot got invaded by some...litterbugs and : . Al

Great fish!! What a fat pig, look at its belly. ;D You are the man! Al
  7. Bad day for bass. Didn't get a nibble till I was leaving when I had one bite a stick bait in half while reeling it in. First two hours, not a nibble. I put on a worm t-rigged and worked it slowly. This always gets me 1 fish. Well...as I am about 10 feet from the bank I get nailed by something HUGE. I get all excited when the drag starts peeling line. I can't believe how strong this bass is...it must be a lunker. Yeah lunker, it just ain't no bass. Look what it left me with after I did it a favor and remove someone elses mono and hook. Then I got lucky and saw this pair swim by and I went after them. 6 casts = 2 fish. The first fish. Look at what it did to the x-rap. Lucky for me I came with a spare and pliers. The second fish. This snake was just chilling watching me fish for 2 hours sunning itself. It never moved as I pounded the bank. Guess it's got a set of brass ones. ;D Al
  8. ;D I know how you feel I had it happen today!!! Al

Lucky you!!! You deserve it bro. Al
  10. How much is that thing anyways? :-?
  11. RR I'm on the same mission. I'm looking to go rivited aluminum jon for the weight but the widest jons I've found are only 36" wide. They had some dude die two weeks ago in dade when he flipped his canoe in a condo pond. Windy. No life jacket. No stabalizers. I think Avid has even stood on his canoe with those things out. The big old towns get under 90lbs and the lightest jons are 150lbs and up. Let me know if you find something cool.
  12. Nice job. On a jig! That never happens. I had one hit like that on a culprit that I must have dropped on it's head 20 times. That's sure bigger than that little dink peacock you showed us last time. ;D Al
  13. Nice fish! That'll put a smile on you. Al
  14. Wait till you see the real peacocks that are loose in my moms neighborhood. These things are all over the place. They make this loud squak that is like a clowns horn. They parade down the side walk in full feathered plumage. Wierd, but is Miami, it's always wierd down here. Scott the only peacocks you saw in Jersey were the Puerto Rican girls in Union City struting their stuff down Bergenline or Kennedy Blvd. ;D
  15. Thanks guys. I was glad to break the hard bait curse. I noticed they'd hit on the pause. Always the same, fast. I did get a couple of 'eh hits. Where I'd feel them hit and load up. Then they'd let go. The monkey says this wouldn't happen if I'd put the Owners on there like he told me, but I wouldn't listen. ;D
  16. Yes and no. I've heard of two and a half footers. I've seen two footers. I've never caught anything that big. The ones down there are always in warm water. They get old. Every 3-5 yrs we get a cold snap that freezes the water (65 degrees ;D ) and kills the peacocks. I can only dream of hooking onto a three footer. These fish are nasty. You gotta see my thumb. Al
  17. Great lookin fish man. Big belly. ;D Al
  18. Got out to the pond at 0830. Nobody there but me. I fished for 2 hrs with nothing. Then I got hit on a JuneBug AlluringBait 5" stick. Stomped the skunk, but I couldn't get rid of the AvidCam. Then, I was about to leave when I thought I saw the golden flash of a peacock. Boy ain't I glad I took those 30 - 40 "last casts". Gold #8 xrap. I saw this pair swimming in a circle. I sightfished them and got 'em!! Special thanks to the Florida boys for the tips on how to get it done. Al
  19. Great fish and lovely pics. That was a big ol' belly man. I love the remote rig, I'm going to get one for sure! Al
  20. Nice, very nice!!! Y'all were on it all right! Al
  21. This thread is full of killer worms. Pick one. ;D I'm kind of partial to the *. The customer service is outta' hand. Shipping is "worm hole" fast. The baits catch fish. I don't have to drive for 30 min to BPS. Well, I still go there, but only because the monkey say I have to. ;D In my bag there are also zooms and culprits. They catch fish. Alex
  22. All I fish is small ponds and canals. Soft plastics rock. Sticks, lizards, worms. Dark and light colors. Slow, real slow fishin'. I finally had a killer day on the rat l trap but that is uncommon. > Try the plastics, they are proven. If all else fails, bluegills catch bass too. Al
  23. Not only do I think it's sporting, I also think it's better for the planet. I don't break off as often. Shoot, I ain't broke off in a good bit. The bass still gets off the hook. I really like the braid, I just wish I could bite through it. ;D ;D Al
