  1. Winter around here is when you sit around dreaming up plans to catch the big ones and spending tons of cash on new tackle!
  2. I had to look on YouTube after reading that. There was one over 300' deep, and it was black as night, and it did look like a rocky desert. There was another one that wasn't as deep unit it didn't say how deep it was, there was vegitation on the bottom, some big bluegills and a few really nice bass! I'm going to need some scuba gear, a senko, and a length of braid
  3. I can share the only knowledge I have of rivers and fish. Look for moving water, it will hold more oxygen than calm water. Warm water has less oxygen so the running water will be mixing in more oxygen.
  4. Joe Bob. Jim Bob is to Yankee sounding... You know how them southerners is about us d**n Yankees!
  5. Just imagine the drop shot rig
  6. Sorry you missed your vacation, I've missed out on some planned outings for things that had to be taken care of, it's very frustrating. I hope you heal up soon!
  7. I'm sure I would love it, I'm just not very experienced at fishing around deadly lizards, ya know, Indiana and all
  8. I think I'll stick to slow Indiana bass fishing... Way to many things to eat you down there
  9. Your not going to reel faster than a lmb can swim if it wants your lure. I've seen them shoot out of cover after baitfish and let me tell you, it's fast, very fast.
  10. I would have fallen out of the kayak!
  11. I like the pad crasher, I've got a couple of them, a 1/4 oz, and a 1/2 oz. both catch fish. I've got a lunker hunter, like others have said, it fills with water after a couple of retrieves, and I noticed that when it got hit, the fish were grabbing it by the legs, making it impossible to hook up.
  12. I use a Pflueger president limited edition and I love it. I wouldn't hesitate to get a Pflueger. Mine is a 40 with 20 pound braid.
  13. I doubt that reel has 30 pounds of drag to begin with, I've got a Pfluger president and it will pull drag if I get caught up on something.
  14. I must be the luckiest guy in the world! I catch more tree limbs than anybody I know!
  15. The farmers almanac says all this week and weekend is in the best catagory for fishing. Now if it wasn't going to be a million degrees out with 200,000 % humidity, this fat boy might go fishing!
  16. All of you are crazy... That bass is 23.1 pounds, give or take a tenth of an ounce. I caught one even bigger once, it was 32 pounds!
  17. Nice fish and happy birthday!
  18. I think you're off by .000000023. Good grief man, a little bit of accuracy wouldn't hurt anything
  19. Sometimes you just have to say no, granted you better be prepared when they tell you to take a hike, but sometimes you have to say no. I figured out the company I work for likes to push you to the edge of quitting, then calm things down, keep you happy for awhile, then do it all over again. It's like a sick game they don't even know they are playing. Good luck!

  21. You'll get the ambitious bluegills with the Ned rig to
  22. Welcome to the forum. Might I suggest checking out the regional sub forum.

I watched a bass strike at a duckling a few times at a city park, I instantly thought of this lure, but to be honest I've never seen that before so I guess it could have been a fluke thing, but it was definitely going after it. Poor baby ducks I want to go Muskie fishing now...
  24. I just figured out I left my box of Ned rig stuff out at the pond the other day, went back and looked for it and apparently someone got themselves some new tackle looks like an order to tackle warehouse is in order...
  25. I got ya. thank you.
