Love your nails! Seriously I have one of those cranks but it is in a different color. Not sure where it even came from either BPS or sent to me from BASS for some reason. Allen
  3. Not sure what that is but I would just go ahead and buy a real soft plastic injector. Take it from someone who poured 4oz of 350 degree plastic over their fingers, safety is important. I would be worried about it leaking or exploding sending hot plastic everywhere. Allen
  4. I need to find a video for this or a rodbuilding mentor. Allen
  5. I have a 6-6 ML Cabelas rod that I love but the main guide (think it is called the choke) is a size 30 and the next is a 20. This rod only has 4 or 6lb Floro so I don't need guides that I can run my boats tie off rope through. Allen
  6. You joke but I honestly had someone at the fishing flea market two weeks ago try to sell me one. Label was so faded you couldn't tell what was written on it. Whatever liquid inside looked like chewing tobacco spit and lid was rusted shut. Guy told me I could just use pliers later to open it. Good news is he only want $20 for the jar. Allen
  7. I have used a Zoom toad in the past. Allen
  8. Thanks for the references. Allen
  9. I will buy all the Barely Legal Vixens you have for the full retail value of $13.99 if you want to get rid of them. Like everything some things appreciate while others depreciate. Allen
  10. So I know how to find where to put the guide based on the reel size/position and to evenly space the runners. My question is how do I determine where to put the 2 butt guides? Looking at using the high frame Fuji KR or Kigan guides on some spinning rods I am working on. There are video's for static placement for casting rods but I cannot find anything for spinning. Allen
  11. Depends on what you want? Like Cadman said EC and Mustad are the best bank for the buck. Most factory baits use Mustad unless otherwise stated. Personally I use everyone you mentioned depending on the application but am not a Matzuo fan as their QC sucks. For my flippin jigs I like Gamakatsu hooks as they sharper and worth the extra money. For finesse jigs I really cannot tell much difference so I stick with Mustad. Allen
  12. There was a site which showed the different species of crayfish per state. Allen

You can use the backs of drill bitts to make eyes. Make sure you use something like Devcon 2ton 30 minute epoxy on that lip to secure it in place. Allen How did you ballast the belly weight BTW? Allen

I made 75 of those sunfish colored swimjig baits and sold them all by 10am on Sunday. Learned I need to have trailers for sale to go with jigs as people want a complete solution. Allen

Ok we need to start a new list of those who wish to participate. Add your name next on the list and we will see who wants to get in. 1. Munkin Allen
  16. In the 9-15 FOW no crank works better for me than the SK 5 series in Gizzard shad. For refernce I own LC, MegaBass, Imakatsu, and just about every other bait that will hit this range. For 8-10 FOW look into the Bandit 300 besides the SK but they are solid fish catchers. Allen

Be careful if that is balsa as the area between the top of the lip and top of the bait is thin. Allen
  18. Look at the post above and you see it is a copy of the blade minnow. Allen
  19. Some very interesting designs you have there. What do the side flns look like in the water? Allen

I am in but need to have warmer weather in order to pour baits. Allen
  21. Bandit 200 Rebel Deep-WeeR SK 3 series Allen
  22. Those are the 2 best colors in the series! I would add the chart w/blue back for the deeper baits though. Allen
  23. I think this one is going to work out around here. Based on what I know about fishing here and Maryland combined with what I saw in the Brit Hite videos I think it will be a winner. Now if it would just warm up enough for me to make some more baits I would be set. Allen

Not sure what size they are? I ask the major spinnerbait manufacturers to send me samples and these wer what Lakeland sent me. Allen
  25. Junk fishing grinder best describes my style. While I have my baits I like best I resort to whatever works for tournaments. Allen
